“Svanhildur was an awesome host, always available to any queries and help. The house was clean and beautiful. The kitchen had all the utensils needed and was also well stocked - which was important for us as we did a lot of cooking for a family of 10 people of all ages. ”

“The house delivered everything we hoped it would for our family trip incl. Kids and 80years old seniors. Convenience to store while being far enogh away from others allowed us to observe an unforgettable show of the aurora. Proximity to silver loop attractions and peninsula of snaefellsness was perfect for our day trips wothout having to spend toouch time in the car. ”

“This cottage is well placed for exploring the west of Iceland, with Snaefellsness Penisula, Reykjavik and the golden circle route all within easy driving distance. Shopping and cafes can be found in Borgarnes, about 10 minutes drive away. It also provides a good view to the north and west in the event of Northern Lights. The cottage is well appointed, although it's worth noting the stairs are quite steep which may pose a problem for some. The only two drawbacks of the cottage 1) the double bed……

“Michelle was lovely and the house is very fun with all the art. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was adequate. For us it wasn't five stars because none of the bedrooms had any side tables for the beds, there were also no side or coffee tables in the living room, the wind woke us up a couple nights and it wasnt even a storm or anything , that's the usual (obviously not anything Michelle can do about that), and the sulphur smelling hot water was really pungent (again, not the owner's……

“We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here”

“Das kleine Cottage hatte für uns alles, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Der private Hot Tub vor der Tür war wunderbar für den Abend. Wir waren vor allem auf der Halbinsel Snaefellsnes unterwegs, aber haben auch das Perlan-Museum in Reykjavik besucht.”

“The cabin lives up to its name as it is very cozy and the views are spectacular. We had northern light shows both nights we stayed there and loved the sauna to warm up after a cold day on the glacier not too far from the cabin. The owner communicated very well and check in and out was very easy. We loved that the cabin is off the beaten path but also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Borgarnes. We would definitely stay here when we visit Iceland again. ”

“We wanted a place that was quiet and dark in the hopes of seeing the northern lights and we got exactly what we wanted. The home is comfortable with heated floors and a nice hot tub on the deck. It is about 15 minutes outside Borgarnes and there's is not a lot, other”

“Beautiful homes; we would definitely return! 10 of us enjoyed our stay at these two lovely homes. Both houses were clean, spacious, and well stocked. The windows in the main house were especially wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes for our large group to have home cooked meals at the large table. We had trouble getting the lock box open (likely frozen shut) and the key to the second cottage was tricky / sticky and needed some extra finesse to get in/out.……

“Very clean and modern, amazing/comfortable beds, almost all the beds were queens and plenty of space for all. The hot tub was amazing and perfect temperature. Our host who lives right next door, was very nice and gracious, gave us a tour of her stable and even gave us some of her milk and cereal for the kids. We had an unforgeable experience in Iceland and this property was certainly the highlight. Very closely located to a mini mart, a spa and restaurants, all just a few minutes away. We even……
