“We loved our stay. It was the perfect escape from busy city life. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff incredibly friendly, and my favourite part was the fireplaces in the lobby and common areas, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a good book.”

“Unfortunately, despite the decent ratings i'm giving them overall, there was a wedding on the night we stayed. This of course is a wondaful thing and we wish the happy couple the best. However we went to Briars to have a quiet night in the country, and if they had told us that our room would be directly above the wedding, in a very old, non-sound proofed room, then obviously we wouldn't have booked it. The noise was so loud that we could not even hear the TV. Better communication and honesty……

“When we arrived, the air-conditioner/heater did not work. The staff had to be contacted by phone. The problem was that the batteries in the remote were dead. The staff person directed us where to find on the site the replacement batteries, and the problem was quickly solved.”
