We chose this hotel because of the photos & good reviews. Good security, the decor is lovely.. Sadly we won’t be staying here again.
The photos of the family room with a bunk bed is deceptive. It is not as large as it appears in the photos. The Family room was too small for family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children aged 8-11. The queen size bed in the middle of the room was about 18 inches away from the wall & wall mounted tv, that was the gap to pass to get to the en suite & window area where there was a small swivel table & 2 chairs. Swivel table was annoying, it moved every time an item was placed on it. Carpet felt sticky when walking around barefoot. No wardrobe- just hanging cubby. As limited space, we made use of the Chest of Draws to try and keep things minimal and tidy as the room was so small, the draws were dusty inside. So clothing got dusty. The En suite was very small. Bodywash etc too high to reach for my youngest, also sink was cracked & the extractor fan didn’t work- it seemed to be blowing air in rather than sending it out.
No lift, all rooms are on 1st & 2nd floor via stairs. Didn’t order breakfast, it was a tad expensive for what was on offer. We went into the city centre & had a nice cooked breakfast for less. Car parking - free, states to park considerately. When we arrived back after a day out, the car park was full, 1 car had parked in the middle of 2 spaces. When informed the staff, they did nothing and told us to park in front of the shed and bins.
