“Absolutely fantastic cottage for a break in the peaks. Well equipped and very clean cottage. Very comfortable with a big garden. The pool was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.”

“So i suppose the price for a night isnt bad, but when youre expecting a whole apartment aslisted and there are others there, its not so great. Stood outside door for 20mins. Not easy to get key via access code( no email before) 2 towels for 3 people, 1 was damp, 1 had a brown 'stain' on it. Bedding old and worn. Headboards dubiously stained!!!!”

“The Property is situated perfectly in the peaks with amazing panoramic views. You are surrounded by peaks, big skies & wildlife as well as the permanent residence on the Farm, horses, sheep (shout out to Jack the Ram, friendliest sheep I have met) & chickens. Inside the cottage is cosy, well equipped & clean. Beds are comfy, 2 bathrooms always a bonus & it's quiet. We are already planning our next trip.”

“We were really happy with our stay. The accommodation was very spacious - perfect for our family. Everything was nice and clean. Plenty of parking outside and it is located close to shops and places to eat. Great communication from the owner. Would definitely recommend and stay there again when we are up North!”

“After booking, the property emailed me a suspicious link asking for an additional damage waiver fee to be paid online. Alternatively, they offer a refundable deposit... plus a non-refundable admin fee. Hotels.com explicitly tell you not to pay any additional money via online forms as it is a very common scam. The property does not allow you to stay unless you pay via their online form. This leaves you either at risk of being a scam victim by paying the additional secret fee, or without a place……

“Thank you again for providing such a fantastic base for our holiday. Curlew Cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the en-suite was a bonus. The location was stunning with a wonderful view to enjoy from the lovely garden. Betty the Cockapoo had a great time, getting to know the other animals, though I think she might have been disappointed that Jack, the sheep, wouldn't chase her. She enjoyed meeting them all. We definitely plan to return hopefully……

“Beautiful bungalow in peaceful setting close to great pub and cafe. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Just a shame no outside seating as we had lovely weather and unable to sit outside, there are misleading pictures of outside furniture on the listing. Also strange a well equipped place like this does not have a washing machine there is certainly room for one in the kitchen.”

“Myself and my family have just arrived home from a 5 day break at The Coach House! It had everything we could have possibly wanted and more! Location was perfect for exploring and visiting Alton towers! Thanks to Karl for a seamless check in! So friendly and everything was 5 star perfect - thanks we will be back! ”

“really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”
