A 50 minute taxi ride from Porto we spent the first two weeks just using Ubers to get into Viana which is about a 10 minute drive away and the amazing beaches which straddle each side of the town, the final week we did hire a car. “This is a beautiful apartment very close to the train station and historic district. The windows are well insulated for a quiet sleep and the bed is very comfortable. Our unit was on the third floor though, so folks with mobility issues should look elsewhere.”

“If you long for a quiet little spot of nature, and your own little castle above Ponte de Lima, search no more, this is the place! We simply adored our week at Filipe windmill.
