Fireside Lodge: Spacious Home w/ Hot Tub, Firepit, Shuffleboard, Ski Access

Fireside Lodge is all about location! Quickly get to the slopes by hopping on a green run from the backyard, or advanced skiers can use the ski in trail from Peak 10. Guests also have access to the complimentary Peak 1 Express shuttle that runs throughout the neighborhood in the winter months. Not only is the stop just a few yards from the home it also provides convenient transportation to and from town. 

The beautiful Lodge itself is thoughtfully designed with multiple families or groups traveling together in mind. The large chef’s kitchen complete with two dishwashers offers plenty of room to entertain and prepare meals for the entire group. Several en-suite bedrooms allow for privacy while the main living areas are perfect for gathering. Enjoy boardgames, foosball and shuffleboard in the game room, explore one of the hiking trails adjacent to the property, then take in the scenery while soaking in the hot tub or relaxing by the fire pit for a full day of on-site activities.

Great home for a group stay

We had a great stay at Fireside Lodge with a group of 9 friends. There are 3 master suites and plenty of other beds. The kitchen is great and very well equipped. Nice mountain views. The house was very clean and is well taken care of. I think it looks better and bigger in person than we might have guessed from the photos. And the management company was easy to contact, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommended!

Two sisters plus husbands and adult kids

Wonderful stay! The house was gorgeous, immaculately clean, and extremely well furnished and supplied. We saw a moose, a bear, and multiple foxes. The kitchen was so nice we only ate out twice the whole stay - one lunch and one dinner. Really great in every way!

Family vacation/ski trip

This was our Covid make up ski trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The house was just as described, even better. The location is great. The shuttle stops right by the house and was perfect for shuttling to the lifts and catching the grey bus to town, etc. The accommodations were more than adequate for our group of 12 adults and 2 babies. Some of us hiked down the trail into town, beautiful and easy hike. We didn’t attempt the ski in, but some in our group tried the ski out one morning. The shuttle seemed the preferred method to take. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Practically Perfect!

First I must say that the pictures of this place do not do it justice. It seemed so much roomier and beautiful than the photos show, which was a very pleasant surprise. As with all houses, something is going to go wrong which one of the two disposals and one of the two clothes dryers had issues, but I just texted the property manager and they sent someone out right away to fix it. Josh came out and not only fixed everything, but gave us some "local" insight on where to go exploring and his suggestions did not disappoint. We also got to see wildlife from the back windows of the house - an adolescent moose was toying with a fox (or vice-versa) with both jumping all around in the clearing behind the house - such a treat to witness! We had a great experience and hope to be back with our family again. They have all voiced the same thing.

Spacious and well equipped

The house feels very roomy, great for a big group. The kitchen is well equipped, master bedroom bathrooms (3) are well above average. The fire pit in the back is great.

Fine except for it is not Ski in. Only Ski out. The Ski in access (which still requires walking 2 blocks) is through off trail Avalanche risk area. Very misleading.

We had an amazing time. It was difficult to ski in and out, however. Great place for a large group.

Steam in shower was awesome, but some of the knobs in showers came loose. There were a few appliances that didn’t work, but overall it was wonderful! Not far from downtown.

Amazing Christmas Vacation Home

What a beautiful home for our Christmas vacation for our group of 11 from Alabama. The views from every room are gorgeous. The game tables in the basement were fun for everyone. Plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen has everything we needed. The bus route stop was very convenient. I can not find one thing to complain about, We will be renting this wonderful house again next year!

Plenty of room, great location, national forest right outside the back door for access to beautiful hikes. House was well stocked and hot tub and fire pit were awesome. We really enjoyed this house for our friends and family gathering of 3 families. Highly recommended!

Property itself was just as advertised.

Everything about the house itself was perfect. I would say the Ski Access was not the Ski-In Ski-Out that one might be accustomed to. Some trail skiing is required and not for the beginner or intermediate skier.

Perfection

This property was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked with everything from cookware to spices. There was a cabinet full of board games for the kids to play with. The house was very clean and spacious with a great layout for a family. Check-in/out was an easy process and communication with the management company was quick and helpful. We will stay here again!

10th Annual Breck Trip

Great location with forest and trails at your back door. Moose sightings almost daily. Fire pit was awesome. Property was well maintained and updated. Staff was responsive to our 2 questions. We plan on returning for Breck 2021

Loved this house for our family stay! One of the best stocked homes I've stayed in and had great beds, rooms, space. Close to town. For summer is a great option as is easy to get to biking trails behind the house.

Great house!

We had a wonderful stay at Fireside Lodge. The house was very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were first rate. Everything we could possibly want or need in the kitchen was provided and it was well stocked with spices and paper goods. We had a problem with the grill and so I called the management company, River Ridge. I was impressed when they came right away and fixed the problem. One thing that was a delightful surprise was the location of the house. We could walk out the backdoor and instantly be on a trail to the mountains or down to Breckenridge. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the river and a beautiful 10 minute walk downhill to downtown (although walking back to the house uphill was a little harder). The one thing the house lacked was book of instructions on how to use the appliances, grills, steam showers, etc. But other than that we had an amazing time and we would love to come to Fireside Lodge again.

Boys Ski Trip

We had a great time at Fireside Lodge. The house was well equipped and the communication with River Ridge was perfect! They were extremely responsive prior to arrival and of any issues found upon. If I were to make any constructive criticism, it would be that the heat was hard to control. It was either hot or cold. The kitchen lacked skillets to cook typical breakfast items. Finally, the ski in/ski out claim is true... it can be done. But it is far from easy. Skiing out requires some uphill hiking to reach the lift. The ski in portion requires you to ski through a gate that states “this is backcountry, you may die”. It can be done, we did it, but not family friendly. Overall, we have a great time, the house was great and we would stay here again!
