We stayed at the Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre for a few days and had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent-just a short walk to the beach and about 15 minutes from the train station. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and our room was clean and well-equipped with nice extras like bathrobes, toiletries and bottled water.
We paid extra for an ocean view, but it was mostly blocked by another building, so it's not worth it. The hotel restaurant offered good but average food, though the service was excellent.
The buffet breakfast was varied and good value, served until 11am and charged per room, not per person. On the day before checkout, we requested a late checkout and were pleasantly surprised to be allowed to stay until noon at no extra charge, which was a nice gesture.
The area around the hotel is quiet, with most dining options by the beach, which is just steps away. Brighton Pier is about a 15-minute walk.
Overall, the hotel was comfortable and quiet with great service. We’d consider staying here again on our next visit to Brighton.
