“Had a lovely stay at the cottage that felt very much like home. Absolutely beautiful views from the garden. Just wish there had been a bar b q. Perfectly situated to get out and about with a great choice of castles, waterfalls and coffee shops to visit. The host is always on hand if needed. The cottage was well equipped definitely a wonderful find”

“We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. “We had a great stay here and really enjoyed the area and the property. My only two things to flag that I would have changed. Were it was only very near our stay that we were informed we would need to bring our own towels. We felt this should have been highlighted before booking. And we were disappointed that there was no milk to start us off as it is quite a rural area and we arrived later in the evening. ”

“We loved staying here! Kitchen had everything, inc. a cafetière, salt & pepper grinders, dedicated drawer of superbly sharp knives(!) & a resident kitchen spider who earnt her keep by catching a mosquito! The bed is huge - could easily fit 3 people! (Duvet cover is a bit noisy/rustles like taffeta when it moves, so light sleepers with partners prone to nocturnal limb flailing might be kept awake by this. The antique wardrobe was ace - I enjoyed the labelled shelves based on sartorial stylings……

“We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together”
