“The property is very clean and very beautiful.. situated on a little outcropping into the bay... it is landscaped very nice and the interior has a bit of a worn and comfy look If you cook you will love the kitchen. it has every feature... warming ovens... cold drawers... and lots of tools.
we also rented kayaks and that was amazing... water was calm and pretty clear.
get your groceries long before you get to the house... as there is only a small general store nearby

“Originally, I found this little gem while I was searching for accommodation around the Port Townsend area with two beds (two friends traveling, not a couple). I like to stay at places that are a little different, I read the reviews here, and decided to book it.

“This is a wonderful cabin. The A frame structure is rustic and charming. There’s a comfy deck. Debra has shelves of board games and lots of info on local things to do. There is a washer and dryer! The upstairs loft with the king bed is where we slept because my husband is 6’6”. I loved it, although I bumped my head 3 times on the ceiling beams! But my husband was not that happy with how low the bed is and that we had to go downstairs to use the bathroom. The kitchen had the necessary dishes. But……

“Very Comfortable with a well appointed Kitchen. Excellent view of Hood Canal and occasional glimpses of mountains through the fog and clouds. Would recommend visiting the Union Visitor Center for good information about the sites and activities in the area. We enjoyed a few hikes to waterfalls and dinner of Oysters and Dungenese crabs. Preparing meals was easy in the spacious and well appointed kitchen. Perhaps the only drawback was the motorcycles on the road below the cabin and canal. I……

“My wife and I got away for a long weekend after being kid-free. We brought kayaks and wanted to explore the area. We enjoyed the location very much, with easy access to Hoodsport and Hama Hama. The access to the water wasn't as easy as we hoped, but the fact that there's a little county park in front of the house did work out for us. The neighbors seem very protective of the beach though, so that's weird. Luckily the smoke from the Bear Gulch fire didn't come down low enough to bother us either,……

“We loved staying here. The cabin layout is so nice and the large windows were very inspiring. The view of the trees was very nice. The patio was a great spot to spend the cool mornings stretching and drinking coffee. The walking proximity to the lake was very convenient and the swimming area at the lake was incredible. If you want a nice place to stay in proximity to Olympic National Park, this is a great choice.”

“Absolutely fabulous property and the only negative is that 2 nights was not long enough! The neighborhood was very calm, peaceful and quiet which was just what we needed for the weekend getaway.
