Thornton House - Short/Long term Accomodation

This 3 Bedroom fully furnished, self-contained Town house is located in Wolfram St, Broken Hill North.
Close to the School of the Air, Aquatic Center, Race Course and Junction Hotel and just 2km from the CBD

This house is perfect for groups of people attending events, as well as family's looking for affordable accommodation with space to move.

The house has ample off street parking, One undercover bay with parking yard space for small trucks and/or trailers, horse floats etc, which also makes it ideal for businesses to use for employee accommodation.

The house includes many features such as
- All linen, towels and basic amenities supplied.
- Sleep up to 10 people.
(Two queen size bed and 3 single beds; a double sofa bed and a single trundle for extra guest)
- Two living areas
- Open plan living, dining, kitchen.
- Coffee Machine, Dishwasher, Microwave
- One main bathroom inside; additional toilet outside.
- Outhouse Laundry (Iron, Ironing board, Cloths rack and Clothes Line)
- Caters for babies with porta-cot and a basic high chair provided (no additional cost).
- Entertaining area with Table, BBQ and Small trampoline.
- Off Street Parking with fenced in backyard.

PETS are welcome, but we do request that animals stay outdoors and please notify when booking.

MINIMUM 4 NIGHT stay apply for Easter and Christmas Period

MINIMUM 3 NIGHTS for St Pats Races, Ag Fair, Show and Queens Birthday Weekend.

Thornton house is available for both Short and Long Term Stays, with extended period rates negotiable.
1 nights last minute booking will be considered, however will have an addition cleaning charge involved.

Typical tinny
Broken hill is full of quirky corrugated iron houses and it was fun to stay in one, gave us the local experience 😄. Lovely hosts , comfy house.

Broken Hill Stay
The property came up to expectations as seen in the ad. It was a bit old as we could see, the amenities were very good plenty of kitchen ware, good frig, stove and dishwasher. Good bathroom and comfortable lounge room, plenty of outdoor space. No real issues at all, the interior walls could use a bit of sprucing up. All in all a good stay.

Neat and tidy accommodation. House was as it was described . Older house but very clean throughout. My friends and I were on a motorbike trip and it was a very comfortable stop off for the price.

Terrible stay. The house was not cleaned after previous guests, it strongly smelled of dogs and had no bed sheets, towels or toilet paper. We had to purchase those in the local shopping centre (thankfully the shops were still open) and clean the kitchen and bathroom ourselves. All this after an 8hr drive to Broken Hill. The owner was apologetic and refunded part of the fee afterwards, but this experience has ruined a holiday for me.

Family and pet friendly
This property was ideal for our recent family visit to Broken Hill. With a 2 year old and two dogs the yard was secure and a good size (however ‘twas the season for 3 corner jacks and they were a problem!) It wasn’t a luxuriant property but we were needing a large place with comfortable beds and we got that.

Basic but comfortable
We enjoyed our 3 nights at this property. Clean, although missing some basics like dishcloths & tea towels, and the beds were comfortable. Beware that there’s no wi-fi at the property.

Great Stay
House was clean and in a great location close to the Main Street in Broken Hill. It had everything you could possibly need. The pictures shown don't do it justice of how good the house is! The backyard is big and secure if you have a large dog too. I would defiantly stay again. Thanks so much :)
