There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. We rang the bell and waited for 5 minutes before Jasmin came and asked how she could help. There was no apology for the wait. She checked us in and then we came to the room, the key cards did not work. I go back to the front desk and again No One is there. I wait for 3-5 minutes and again no apology for the wait. I told Jasmin that the card keys didn’t work and she seemed in disbelief but fixed them. I go back upstairs to get in the room, the key cards work but the room had 1 king size bed instead of 2 queens. I again, go back to the front desk. Again, Jasmin is not there. I tell her that the room is not what we reserved and she said ‘no, that room has 2 beds’. I told her that I was just there and it only had 1 bed and she went and asked a janitorial staff. After that she changed my room.
This wait and treatment is unacceptable. I know this hotel is new: it looks new and it smells new but the staff should be better trained.
For the price point, I expect someone at the front desk at all times. Acknowledgment or an apology for the wait. The correct room with the correct number of beds. And the staff believing guests.
