“Our family (ages 8-68) had a nice weekend. The weather was a very springish mix but we had things to do inside (fun playroom!) and outside (peaceful lake right outside the door). The nearby Austin T Blakesee Area had a nice trail going along the river (but we didn't see the whole park) with a stop at Sweet Cravings on the way home, yum.Comfortable lodging that is kid-friendly. ”

“There were 14 people who shared this house for a long weekend. College roommates and families who hadn’t seen each other in 10 years. We had a great time and had plenty of room to spread out. Saw some deer and even a baby bear cub. Check in/out process was wonderful. Overall had the best time staying here!”

“Great location! 5 minute walk to Island which has the best pool/ tennis/ rentals . 15 minute walk to one of the beaches . Nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom Also very nice that linens and towels are supplied for us , along with tp and paper towels and dish soap. The inside of the house was clean And very comfortable . The river in our backyard was amazing . Just disappointed in the shape of the backyard and deck . Grill was an absolute mess ( we left it in much better shape than we got……

“We love this neighborhood with allIt’s amenities and local things to do. This house was a perfect jumping off point for all the fun. The house was beautifully set up for a family or friend getaway with a great open concept kitchen living area with a beautiful porch and 3 seasons room (they would be a great space to enjoy in warmer weather).The rooms had very nice foam mattresses and had plenty of room to move around, especially in the primary suite. “We had an awesome stay at the Blue Owl. The house and property were everything we were hoping for in a summer vacation home.So much to do in the immediate area that we actually have to come back to get in some of the things we still need to do.”

“Everything was great and the house was very comfortable for all of us. The location was really nice too, secluded and quiet but also lots of stuff to do nearby (beach, lake etc.) The only thing is the inconvenience of the check-in and check-out times. Check-in was relatively late considering we came from NY, and same thing with the check-out, too early! .”
