With original exposed brick and bright South-facing windows looking at the mountains, Salida Sol is the epitome of the modern, passive Solar Colorado home. This cheerful home with natural landscaping is in downtown Salida, next to the Monarch Spur walking/bike path and two blocks from the Arkansas River. The ideal home base for fun!

This single-level, bright, colorful pet-friendly dwelling offers:
~ master suite with gas fireplace and queen bed; a second bedroom with a queen bed; and an office with futon bed
~ two custom-built full bathrooms, one with a gorgeous, walk-in shower
~ modern kitchen, open living/dining area with fun views of town and the mountains beyond
~gas stove in the living area, garden courtyard, large patio with table/chairs, Adirondack chairs on 3 outdoor areas, Cable TV and WiFi.
All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, salt and pepper and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper napkins and toiletries.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Cleaning Fee is $150.00 (CDC Guideline Clean)

~Max of 2 pets at $15 per pet per night; acceptance of the terms of the Pet Policy is required.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. Five to 7 days before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved over-occupancy or pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $1000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund minus a $125 Cancellation fee or a $75 Change fee if applicable. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.**

Great place, amazing location!
The home was beautifully set up and very clean in a prime location in Salida. The only potential downside was that the house layout made checking in when it was dark very difficult. We kept walking around the house a couple times with our phone lights before we found the proper entrance. Once we figured that out, the whole stay was great! We definitely would love to stay at this home in the future!

Great Location!
We come to Salida regularly and just love it! This time we brought friends for California and they loved it as much as we do. The house was clean, comfortable, well stocked and in a great location. We walked into town from the house for coffee, meals and to float in the river. We highly recommend it!

Great location but wouldn’t come back unfortunately due to no A/c. The fans were not enough and didn’t feel comfortable leaving the windows open at dinner Also not having partial access to the driveway. There looked like there was plenty of room for at least one car. Thank you.

Not the best stay
For our 3 day stay, internet didn't work for a day-and-a-half. Wore my shoes in the house because the floors were sticky. Kitchen cabinets and other areas sticky to touch. Couldn't use the top oven because you can't change the temp. Washing machine stopped 3 times and attempting to get it started again resulted in bubbles on the floor everywhere and the dryer was so loud, we didn't want to use it. So, couldn't do laundry after river trip or at all. Does have an outdoor space for the dog, but there are stickers and thorns everywhere because it is overgrown. So we didn't let the dog out much because he was chewing his feet and limping after being out to potty. Pretty difficult getting in touch with management/owner who provided poor reimbursement for problems experienced (considering what we paid for a 3 day stay). The location is convenient and it was nice having a full kitchen to cook, but, overall, we will not be staying at this home again. It just wasn't a very good experience overall.

Our experience here was fantastic! Hosts and property manager are wonderful, and excellent communicators. Walkable to restaurants, bars, shops and the river. Indoor and outdoor living spaces very comfortable. Lots of kitchen amenities. We will stay here again!

Space and Location
This property was great. Easy walk to the main strip of Salida shops and restaurants and an easy drive up to Monarch Mountain. It allowed us to spread out a bit, and being able to bring our dog was a plus. We had a fantastic weekend between the town and Monarch Mountain.

We recently stayed in Salida, Co for a family ski trip. Savanah from Pinon Vacations went out of her way to make our stay as fantastic as possible. the property was immaculate! The instructions for how to best use and enjoy the house were very helpful. All cabinets and cubby's were labeled also., We will stay here again next year and highly recommend this property.

Great home but too warm in the summer
This was a comfortable and lovely home for my family of four and our dog. Unfortunately the summer days brought hot temperatures and since there is no A/C, it wasn't a great choice for our family looking to escape the Texas heat. Otherwise this house was very clean, spacious, centrally located and had everything we needed. I would consider staying here again, just not in the summertime. Recommend you bring a sleep mask because the light from the grocery store's lot shines into the main bedroom at night.

super convenient location and comfortable home
a great place to stay if you want the convenience of walking to all that downtown salida has to offer. don't be fooled, even with the proximity to stores and the road, you'll still see deers regularly cross through the yard. the house has small, not private yard access making it a little harder to let the dogs out but it was still a great place for a family with pets and we would definitely come back!

It’s All About Location
Overall, this property was a nice place to stay. Even though I had read the previous reviews, which talked about how close the house is to the Safeway, it wasn’t until we arrived that I realized it is literally adjacent to the Safeway parking lot. While this offers convenience for grocery shopping, it also means that your view from the side yard is of the comings and goings in the parking lot. The front patio is also situated on a main street that has heavy vehicle traffic. Additionally, the front patio overlooks a public park area where small groups can gather and picnic. This area is only about 30 feet from the front patio and it was frequently used by people during our stay. One morning a group of about 10-12 teenagers stopped by with several teachers, and stayed for about an hour. It seemed to be some sort of school field trip. The point is that while this location is rather convenient for accessing downtown shopping and the river, it is not the place to stay if what your looking for is privacy. The living room furniture could use a bit of a refresh, and the kitchen is lacking for newer utensils, but overall the interior of the home has a comfortable feel to it. The secondary bedroom looked a bit on the small side, but we only utilized the main bedroom which was very spacious with a comfortable bed. Lastly, it should be noted that there is no garage parking, but there was plenty of parking available on the street right next to the house.
