“Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.”

He showed us around the hut with all the facilities that were available. The hut had everything u could possible need. It was beautiful and relaxing and I cannot fault it at all. “A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together. There were just a few things we thought to mention: 1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated. 2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on……

“Amazing cottage in centre of Hay on Wye, cosy and comfortable with everything needed for a restful and enjoyable break away form the hustle and bustle of normal life. There was not enough time to explore the area to the full and we are already planning on returning next year for longer stay.”

“We had a lovely time at the quarry house. We love the hikes that were in close proximity to the home. The home was well equipped and comfortable.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at stable cottage. Excellent location with only a 5 minute walk into the town through the beautiful local church grounds. Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and the hot tub was ready to use on arrival. Small outside garden area is enclosed which was perfect to let our dog out into.”
