We had a confirmed reservation at Hotel Cádiz Bahía for our family of five (2 adults, 3 young children). The room was spacious with a separate bedroom, a king bed, and a living room with a sleeper sofa—more than enough space for all of us.
When we arrived at midnight after a long day of travel, the front desk refused to allow all five of us to stay in the room we booked. Instead, they insisted we book a second room for four nights at an outrageous extra cost of €1,000, or they would not let us stay. We explained that the room we reserved was perfectly adequate, but they were completely unhelpful, uncompromising, and unwilling to make any reasonable accommodation.
We were strong-armed into paying double for our stay because we had no other option at midnight with three tired kids. The lack of compassion, flexibility, and basic hospitality was shocking. This is not the way to treat paying guests, especially families.
Our experience left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of, and it completely soured our time in Cádiz. If you value honesty, fair treatment, and genuine hospitality, do not stay at Hotel Cádiz Bahía.
