“The location near the university and in the city is perfect. The living room comforts include blankets for guests. The bedrooms were welcoming and very comfortable. There is an attic area we didn’t use but would be perfect for kids. The basement has a sleeping and tv area with bathroom. The outside porch/sitting area is very nice but could use some outdoor pillows and consider additional lighting. The yard is very well taken care of. The kitchen items could use some additions like a larger pot……

“Peggy and Gary are wonderful hosts at the beautiful Riverside Lodge Bed and Breakfast which is sandwiched between the Honga River and Chesapeake Bay. We enjoyed the quiet serenity and watching the water fowl and eagles flying nearby. Peggy cooked us a hearty breakfast each morning and also a delicious dinner for our anniversary. Our guest room was immaculate and there is a spacious living area and dining room. The upper level of the Inn is a cupola with 360 degree views from which you can……

“Soul enriching location. The dock, the fresh eggs, the local GBH, and night sky all contribute. Quick access to Blackwater NWR. The furnishings and kitchen accessories are adequate. The microwave door no longer closes correctly and has to be pushed until the fan stops. None of that matters because of the location. ”

“Booked this for Father’s Day weekend with my two kids. I think we were hoping for a kind of “dip your toes in” Chesapeake escape — something between Lake Anna and Ocean City. Saw “waterview” and figured maybe we’d land somewhere special. That wasn’t quite what we got. The house itself is clean and quiet. No issues with check-in. The upstairs deck is the one defining feature — nice for sitting out at night. But beyond that, this felt more like a peaceful neighborhood retreat than a Bay……
