“This stay was idyllic and everything that was promised. Privacy, serenity and beautiful surroundings. Loads to do in the area and off the beaten track enough to have a sanctuary from tourism. Susan was the hostess with the mostess. Always there for suggestions, but never intruding. Her family are quintessential Italian and we loved hearing her grandchildren calling each other across the garden, hearing the neigh of the horses and next doors donkey in the distance. If you like some solitude……

“Property is beautiful. Lots of space and everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had all we needed and outside space was amazing. The pool was perfect to cool off in at the end of a day out. Only slight negative is the access which others have mentioned but for the views and solitude it is necessary I guess! Lots of places to explore close by and not far from Pisa airport. Fabrizio was a wonderful host, the welcome basket was amazing. He was always……

“Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries,……

“This is a really excellent property. The house is spacious, cool even in August and very quiet both in the day and the night. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. The views are incredible and the pool and outside eating area are better than the photos look. There is a nice BBQ which had plenty of gas. The only thing to be wary of is the very steep and narrow road up to the house. It is better to have a smaller car! ”

“Lovely Villa with stunning views of the area and wildlife. Easy drives to Pisa and Lucca with also closer medieval villages to explore. We loved Barga and its restaurants and Castelnuovo Di Garfagnana . Villa is a lovely traditional villa that is well equipped and spacious. Has everything you need. True that the Road to the villa is windy and narrow but managed to drive our SUV hire car up to the villa without difficulty as there are plenty of passing places. Pool and surrounding clean and……
