We enjoyed our stay! The facilities are very nice. We loved our spacious room. Yes, it was a little dated, but not in any way that impacted our stay. The staff were very friendly. We also liked that it was quiet, felt family oriented and most of the guests were Spanish speaking. It did not have the loud, touristy vibe that so many Cancun resorts have.
We ate at Palapa restaurant twice, although never ate the buffet. The service was very good, as was the food! We ate at a few of the local taquerias across the street from the hotel and they were great and had really friendly service.
I have never seen a more hard-working pool staff. They were out there day and night, cleaning every inch of the pool and hot tub area!!
Be ready for the sales pitch of their other properties and vacation club. It's common at most hotels we've visited in the more popular cities in Mexico. I will say, it was much gentler and less pressure than I've experience elsewhere, so that was appreciated.
We also received some nice "extras" from our status with Expedia, which was very nice!!
We would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in Cancun!
