ive been a client of Expedia for the longest time. but this time i felt that i was scammed! I purchased a package that includes the flight, hotel and all meals inclusion at a confirmed price. I tried to call the airline to get assigned seats but stated that i dint have a confirmed ticket yet. Called expedia and spoke to a lady customer service and transferred me to another male CS he then said that the price I paid was no longer available as i have not confirmed within 24 hrs. I told him that i received a confirmation number thru my email and they have taken my money from my credit card.a told that the flight was cancelled and wont be able to get the package on the same price. I had to either pay the reinstatement fee which is double the price of the flight or everything and the hotel and in all inclusions will be cancelled. i told him i will call United Airlines myself. United Airlines told me to just pay $10 to reinstate the flight and pay the tickets as Expedia has not released the payment to them. i told them that i already paid the flights thru expedia. I called the hotel myself and verified with them our reservation and they haveconfirmed when i gave them my payment thru expediawith d conf no. that expedia gave me. This is so stressful and unacceptable It feels like a bait-and-switch scam.They charged my credit card, confirmed my booking, and then tried to to pressure me into paying more afterwards.So terrible experience!

Our stay was relaxing overall, and the property itself is clean, well-maintained, and comfortably sized. While there were many positives, a few small details fell short of expectations. The staff were friendly, hardworking, and consistently helpful. A special shoutout to Lucy, who stood out for her excellent service and warm demeanor—she truly enhanced our experience. However, I was disappointed that, despite notifying the hotel about the special occasion behind our visit (via email a month, then 2 weeks, then 3 days in advance), there was no acknowledgment upon arrival. Other guests received “Happy Birthday” or “Welcome Back” banners on their doors, and the absence of something similar for us was disheartening. It’s often the little touches that leave a lasting impression. The resort offers five restaurants, and Satsu, the Asian restaurant, was by far our favorite—absolutely delicious! The drinks were great too; according to my husband, they weren’t watered down, which is a plus. Room service was prompt and reliable. While the menu could use more variety, the items we did try were tasty. The pool area was clean and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the beach wasn’t usable during our mid-June stay due to a heavy presence of Sargassum At times, there was a noticeable sewage scent on the property, which detracted from the overall ambiance.

Absolutely amazing resort. Went June 14-June 21. The sargassum was terrible the entire time but didn’t smell unless the crew was trying to clean it up. The property is amazing, 3 different pools with their own personality. We were on our honeymoon so we hung out at personal swim-out the majority of the time but we did spend a little time at the party pool. The food was great, no issue with that some better than others but the Tahini (Serenity) Breakfast was AMAZING! Definitely take your own cups if you want straws, make sure you take the necessities you need because they’re super expensive at the gift shop. I’d give this a solid 9.5/10 Absolutely amazing!

The Resort was very nice. Friendly staff....clean rooms. Pools stay open 24 hrs you dont get that most resorts. Buffet Food was pretty decent. There resturant food was very good!

We just got back from an incredible stay at Haven Riviera Cancun, and I can’t say enough good things about this resort! From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch — the property is absolutely stunning, the atmosphere is the perfect blend of luxury and laid-back, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. We booked our stay through Expedia, and I want to point out how refreshing it was to be treated just like anyone who booked direct or through a travel agent — no difference in service, and no second-class treatment. From check-in to check-out, the experience was seamless. Now for some well-deserved shoutouts: Alfredo is truly amazing. He’s hands-down the BEST when it comes to entertainment and guest relations. He has a way of making everyone feel like part of the Haven “family.” He’s genuine, fun, and brings the energy every single day. Sandra and Ana at the front desk were incredibly helpful and kind. They not only made check-in a breeze but also checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. Top-notch service. Seney at Docks bar made every visit a treat — super friendly, fast, and made the best drinks with a smile. Levi, the traveling bartender at the main pool, was with us our entire 6-day stay and was an absolute legend. Always remembered our drinks, had great energy, and made sure everyone was having a great time. This place felt like home for the week that we stayed, and we will be back!

The property was well-maintained, and it's clear that they take pride in paying attention to details. The entire staff was fantastic and would go out of their way to meet your needs. The entertainment was great as well. The only downside to our stay was the seaweed situation on the beach, but that is out of their control. We were very pleased with our stay at Haven Riviera.

We had such a wonderful wedding and stay at Haven. Everything was perfect! The wedding staff was spectacular. Our wedding coordinator Itzel Gomez made the planning easy and without any stress. She went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect! Our butler Manny was also spectacular. He took care of anything we needed and always had a smile on his face. Decent property. However not to the 5 star level advertised. Food was just ok. No special events to keep guests entertained during the day. No signage describing what was available for the day. The beach was so bad with sargassum that the stench permeated to the pool. One shining light, Candido, our butler. Very friendly and professional. He was the one employee who truly tried to hit every request out of the park. Truly a gem. The rest of the servers were, eh. Very few spoke English.

The staff were fantastic. They all were friendly, attentive, willing to please. The food was better than expected, the spa was beautiful and the grounds were kept immaculate. Our butler Carlos was in touch with us everyday and made sure we had anything we requested. The vibe at the hotel was chill with a some cool fun thrown in. We will be back, very soon!! The only issue, and it’s not the resort’s fault, is the sargassum on the beach. They do try their best to remove it daily but the influx is relentless this time of year.
