As someone with celiac disease, traveling can often be stressful, and dining out is one of the most difficult aspects. Cross-contamination is a serious issue for people with celiac and most places, especially other Marriott properties have not been nearly as equipped or trained to handle it properly.
But this stay was completely different. Your Chef Angel, Chef Albert, and the entire culinary team went above and beyond in every possible way. Their knowledge about CD, their commitment to safe preparation, and their overall attitude of kindness and inclusion completely blew me away. Furthermore, they didn’t just make me feel safe, they made me feel seen. I was given direct access to them to discuss my needs, and they never once made me feel like I was being difficult, a burden or inconvenient. They showed me genuine care and compassion, treating my dietary restrictions not as a burden, but as something they were happy to accommodate with excellence.
They even made special gluten free baked goods just for me-something that I rarely get to enjoy. They prepared meals to-go when I had to leave the hotel, fully understanding that eating safely outside would be nearly impossible. Property was beautiful.
