The Royal Cancun overall was great. Very clean and very well maintained. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite was perfect. We had the ocean view and it was picture perfect. The buffet breakfast was nice and they had plenty of choices. The only two bad things I can say is that upon arrival, the bellman who delivered our suitcases was very rude. I tipped him what I had on me and he was condescending and asked me if I knew how Pesos worked, like it wasn’t good enough for him. The other thing they could improve on would be better signage around the resort to provide directions to the spa, towel pickup/ drop, etc. I would stay here again. Just leaving an honest review.

The resort is beautifully maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future!

First of all. This is not an all inclusive resort so ensure you pick the right package if you decide to go. We were disappointed when we arrived and found out we made a mistake on our reservation and didnt choose all inclusive. We had to pay for breakfast lunch and dinner for our family of 5 for an entire week which made our stay so much more expensive. I loved the service staff on the beach at the smaller outdoor restaurant and there food was made fresh on a BBQ.. you can find it near the kids pool, Lapalapas had great waiters but awful hostesses at the counter. I asked 3 times to get a baby high chair. They charged us $80 canadian to eat at the buffet and we only did that once as the food was questionable. We chose to use the city transit and uber to find local places to eat and went and bought food from a grocery store and cooked in our room. House keeping staff are awesome. Recommend visiting the other resort for a different beach experience as both are nice in different ways except for when we saw feces wash up on the shore... not entirely the resorts issue in Cancun I assume alot of human waste gets dumped into the ocean. Needless to say I dont think Ill ever return to Cancun.. it was a love hate experience.. people are either super loving and friendly or out to get you for every dollar you have and its heart breaking seeing a beautiful area being treated so terribly.

A Perfect Family Vacation! Our vacation was absolutely perfect! The hotel is in a beautiful location, and the rooms were excellent—very clean and comfortable. I was there with my family, and my kids had a fantastic time enjoying all the recreation areas and beach sports. There were plenty of activities for everyone, and the whole place felt welcoming and well-maintained. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Quiet, great beach area and super clear water if you walk down the beach a minute or two. Restaurant staff was great, rooms are way better than a hotel setup… great for families not wanting a party scene. My only complaint would be the lack of fresh juice- no fresh squeezed orange or pineapple juice… was disappointed about that but otherwise love this property and will be back! 💛

Property was nice though a bit dated. Room was very spacious, Staff were polite. I didn't. like the constant attempts at trying to get a newly arrived guest to sign up for a 90 minute discourse on vacation packages and time shares. It was a bit annoying. I also didn't like that the guests were older and fussy about people that were laughing and enjoying themselves. next time I'll stay closer to downtown where there are more dining options and things to do without having to take an Uber.

Navidad in Cancun

The hotel's staff is generally very nice, particularly Charlie and the activities group, however their timeshare pitch wasn't appreciated, was stressful and not worth the 'coupons/discounts' provided. Also, the arrangement the hotel has with taxis is akin to robbery and will only lead to extreme overpayment. It's not the extra $30 for a taxi, but more the principle, understanding Spanish and hearing the conversation between the bellhop and the driver about how much they intend to rip you off. Uber is strongly advised when a ride is needed; arrange your own airport and train station transportation. Also, the city/strip buses are easy to use. ... The food on site is good, convenient at times, but pricey as you might expect. The same holds true for the on site store. Little tiendas are only a short walk away. ... Overall, you can enjoy a stay here, taking the above advice into consideration.
