We recently stayed at this property during our first visit to Cancún and had a great overall experience. We booked a villa, which was spacious and comfortable—I would definitely recommend it to others.
The food at the buffet was decent, while the à la carte restaurants were excellent. However, service varied throughout the resort. While many staff were friendly and accommodating, a few servers were less courteous. That said, our butler, Sarah, was exceptional—attentive, kind, and truly enhanced our stay.
One drawback was the presence of aggressive sales staff within the hotel, likely promoting timeshares or similar programs. While I understand the business reasoning behind this, the approach could be more respectful, as they didn’t handle a simple “no” very well.
Additionally, we had a confusing experience at the Japanese restaurant, where a server offered a bottle of sake for “a dollar.” We double-checked the price and were assured it was correct. However, at checkout, we were charged $20 USD. While the amount isn’t unreasonable, transparency would have been appreciated.
Despite a few hiccups, we had a positive stay and would consider returning. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and there’s a lot to enjoy.
