For its unique design, the original owners chose a very well-known architect from Paris. Louis Visconti was already famous for designing the Louvre extension and the tomb of Napoleon at Les Invalides. The Chateau was then built by Rene Honde in 1854 as a private residence for Count Rochenfoucauld and his family. Beautiful landscaped gardens, and a private lake, offset the grandeur of the stone edifice. At the Chateau Fairytale, all of the accommodations have been refurbished to a standard that offers the grand design of the nineteenth century, with the luxury of 21st century technology. All conveniences are available at the chateau. Each suite includes robes, slippers, a hairdryer, private wc, bath and tea & coffee making facilities. All of the common rooms are on the ground floor and each are majestic and intriguing.
