A difficult review to write. The property, the room, the pools, the restaurant, all excellent.
The staff try really hard, but management needs to focus a little more on core issues; less on the flattering touches. Instead of sending me a cake, ensure the public are toilet tap is working. Ensure the reception staff are awake and ready for work at 0645 hours, and are not still 'resting'. Stop the staff from asking for good reviews.
The hotel is really a four-star hotel, which tries hard and delivers on almost everything.
A word about the clientele - many British retirees are at the hotel - this is the key market. If I had known this, I would not have booked. It's a bit like a luxury old folks' home.
But this is all nit-picking - the hotel is very very good.
