The staff was very polite and the price was great. The suite was clean and spacious. Parking did fill up overnight and we were unable to utilize our allotted spot.
Most importantly, there was a major safety issue we had to address at check out. In the second upstairs bedroom in our rental, with two beds, they offered a space heater to warm the room. Fortunately, I plugged it in before putting my kids to bed, as upon reentering the room 5 minutes later, it had overheated in the wall socket and the prongs were red hot. The wall and socket were also extremely hot. Whether it was the older space heater malfunctioning or the socket, we do not know. However, if left on much longer (or overnight), it would have absolutely started an electrical fire in my children’s room. Without the office being open during these hours, we were without heat in the room we intended for our children to sleep in. It ended up dipping down to 53 degrees so we all four shared the queen bed in the other room. All and all, we’re thankful that we just had a cramped night and a singed hand from the overheated prongs and cord of the space heater. I did bring the space heater with me at checkout and warn the friendly front desk attendant. I did urge them to contact maintenance before rebooking the suite to another guest. They were receptive and hopefully this was dealt with urgently.
If not for the aforementioned safety risk, we’d likely recommend this property. Hopefully we will receive a follow up.
