We were here for only 2 nights, previous to our cruise. We arrived after 15 hours travel with zero sleep the night before, we appreciated being able to check in previous to the 4:00 arrival time. While waiting for the rom we were able to use of the pool, order food, drinks etc. However, was told at the time 1:25, that a cleaning lady was directly sent to the room & would be available "very shortly", being sleep deprived we certainly appreciated this, however hadn't expected it (excited to get some much needed sleep). We ate at the restaurant, then had a quick swim, checking back with front desk every 45 minutes or so, with finally being allowed to the room at 3:57. (so not very shortly after 1:25). Being up front about time of being let in the room would have been appreciated. We observed multiple other guests with the same situation; the front desk girls handled the complaints professionally though-but why is this protocol? We did find the outside bar area extremely short staffed both days, with the tables not being cleaned regularly, and the wait for service long- My overall opinion, is that if the bar was staffed well, the sales would have doubled if not tripled, as the wait was long for both food and drinks, (12-15 minutes each time, for a simple lemonade or iced tea)
