“Amazing place! Has everything you need except cellular service - but let’s be honest you don’t need that either. Host was great and had suggestions on things to see nearby. The on property swimming hole was so nice for a hot summer day. Visit the insect museum nearby if it is open. ”

“Our time at the Daintree and the Barn was such a treat! The house and pool were fabulous and just as we expected. We got a lot of rain (rainy season, duh), and we would open the big doors and watch the rain off the deck. Such a magical experience! ”

“It's a really beautiful spot and the house is beautiful too. Mostly as advertised, but not quite, On arrival, you find that it's solar powered and water is rainwater so you're asked not to use any electrical appliances, minimise use of wi-fi and minimise water usage. Eco credentials are commendable but the limitations should be made clear before you book and pay top dollar. There is no washing machine (cos it would use too much power) although booking sites said there was one. Photos of the pool……

“The house is surrounded by Daintree forest. As described, the bottom floor (kitchen and amenities) is open to nature, and some interesting wildlife came to visit (mainly geckos, but also fireflies and spiders). The location is excellent for exploring the Daintree.”
