"Lovely property. I did t use any spa services so can’t comment on that feature. My room smelled a bit stall but open windows for a couple hours cured that. Hand shower wasn’t ideal and toilet required perseverance for a proper flush. Bar and restaurant staff were absolutely amazing with their professional ..."

"Interesting old hotel in a great location. Interior is a little tired, especially in the rooms, but nice bar and helpful reception staff. We asked to move from the first room we were allocated due to the smell. Staff arranged transfer with minimal fuss and second room great."

"I would have given higher marks had the communal areas (entrance) been hoovered a little more. Despite some of the negative reviews I stayed in Rm 24 and had absolutely no complaints about it. Staff were really helpful"

"This was our third visit (possible fourth) and it was a pleasure to return. It is an excellent spot for those who love nature and walking, there are many great walks from the door and especially when you have collie dogs as we have who are happy to roam in the hills for hours.
