“ Our VRBO was absolutely wonderful. Loved the old farmhouse charm with the modern up grade touches. It was perfect for our group as there was plenty of room for all six of us. the beds were so comfortable and lots of amenities. 5 stars!”

“We rented the house for a weekend for a high school track meet. It was great to have the space for 4 adults and 4 teens. We especially appreciated the large kitchen and dining room as we prepared all of our meals at the house. The location was ideal in downtown Fortuna, close to Fortuna High School. The house was well-stocked and clean. Would definitely stay again. I would note that 2 of the beds appear to be double beds instead of Queen-sized.”

“I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. The one draw back was booking through VRBO. I was not able to contact the hostess directly and wasn't sure how to check in. It is best to make reservations by directly calling them. There was a guest there who had called in the afternoon and was able to get a room that night. The dining room was……

“We were in Ferndale for a multi-day event at the Fairgrounds. The Garden Suite suited us perfectly. We travel with our dogs, and the suite worked well. The location offered proximity to downtown Ferndale and its many charms, and also to the Fairgrounds. Our hosts (Sheila and Sharon) provided access information a couple days in advance, and gave careful directions so we wouldn't drive past their country-road location. We've already made our reservation for a return visit!”

There weren’t too many rules, regulations or cameras so we could truly relax and enjoy this home and explore the beauty of Humboldt County.
