Captiva Beach Sunset is located on North Captiva Island—a remote, bridge-free barrier island accessible only by boat or private plane. There are no cars, no traffic, and no stress. Guests arrive via ferry or private charter (we recommend Island Girl Charters) and explore the island by golf cart.

This home is managed by Shally’s Seashells Property Management, a trusted local team that provides grocery stocking and personalized guest services to make your stay effortless.

The home features private beach access just steps away via a sandy path, unobstructed Gulf views from every level, and accommodations for up to 15 guests in beds plus additional options for children. Enjoy a private heated pool, high-speed Starlink internet, and two golf carts (one 6-seater and one 4-seater) included with your stay. An airstrip membership is also available for guests arriving by private plane. A $120 damage protection insurance policy is required and covers up to $5,000 in accidental damages.

Ground Level – The private heated pool offers both sun and shaded lounge areas. The IPE wood decking includes chaise lounges, tables, and chairs. Outdoor entertainment includes custom corn hole boards and a giant Connect Four. Other outdoor amenities include an enclosed changing room, outdoor shower, propane Weber grill, beach chairs, and umbrella.

First Floor – Four bedrooms and a laundry room are located on this floor.
Master Suite One includes a king bed, 32” ROKU TV/DVD, full en-suite bath with shower, and a screened porch overlooking the Gulf.
Master Suite Two includes a king bed plus a twin armchair bed, a 32” ROKU TV, full en-suite bath with dual shower heads, and a screened porch overlooking the Gulf.
Bedroom Three includes two twin-over-twin bunk beds (sleeps four), one single twin bed, a kids table with chairs and books, and access to a shared full bath in the hallway with a tub/shower combo and dual sinks.
Bedroom Four includes two twin-over-twin bunk beds (sleeps four), one twin armchair bed, and indoor games like giant Connect Four and ring toss.

Second Floor – This level features the gourmet kitchen, dining area, great room, a screened porch, and a full bath.
The kitchen includes reverse osmosis filtration, stainless steel appliances, two French door refrigerators, a drip coffee maker, Keurig/Nespresso machine, blender, crockpot, electric griddle, and more.
The dining area includes a breakfast bar that seats six and a dining table that seats eight.
The great room features a large sectional sofa, an 85” UHD Smart TV, pool table, darts, and a bar cabinet with a nugget ice machine and full set of barware.
The screened porch includes a high-top dining table, bistro table, and rocking chairs.
The full bath includes a marble-tiled tub/shower with dual shower heads.

Third Floor – Bedroom Five includes a king bed, 40” ROKU TV, two private tiled porches (one sunrise-facing and one sunset-facing), and an expansive rooftop sun deck with Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges.

Captiva Sunset Beach

The house is large with a nice layout and comfortably housed our family of 8 adults. It is ideally located directly on a wonderful beach. The owners are responsive, replacing a broken pool heater while we were there. The island has some scars from the recent hurricanes but is recovering well. This is a great spot for a private beachfront getaway.

The hype is real!

My whole family just got staying here for a week, 13 people ranging from ages 7 months to 64, and every single one of us loved it! The house was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The views were beautiful from the porches. The pool was perfect for the kids when the beach got too hot! The hosts were reliable and quick to respond/help. We all give it 2 thumbs up and can’t recommend this home away from home enough!

North Captiva Island Stay

We had a wonderful time. The views from the house are spectacular. We loved the screened in porches too. There are plenty of bathrooms to use. The pool was so nice to have when the ocean was a bit too cold. Having the washer/dryer was awesome. The kitchen island is huge! We loved all the nature walks available on the island. The seashells are unbelievable. We saw dolphins, tortoises, reptiles and many, many different kinds of birds. We enjoyed Mango’s food too. Make sure you order plenty of groceries but if you forget something it can be delivered! Lots and lots of friendly people on the island.

Beautiful House

This is a beautiful house on a gorgeous beach. Accessing the island was a bit tricky, I don’t recommend you bring your own boat, it’s better to take the provided ferry. My stay was very nice.

Beautiful home on a gorgeous, remote beach

The house was everything we hoped it would be and more! The views of the beach were amazing from all the balconies and beach access was right across the walkway. The rooftop deck provided even more gorgeous views and the pool at the house was great for the kids during the day and adults at night :-) It was our first time on North Captiva and we would definitely go back!

Amazing vacation

The house was just as it was listed and accommodated our large group. The beach is so close to the house. It was nice to be able to get up in the morning and walk down to the beach to look for shells. Plenty of refrigerator space - we had a little bit of a hard time keeping up with ice in the freezer until we discovered an ice maker in the bottom level basement bathroom closet. They put in a new dishwasher while we were there. The view of the gulf is amazing! Sunset is the best! The hardest part of this vacation is planning for food and beverages. They will do grocery delivery while you are there so you don’t have to order everything before you go, but still need to plan ahead because it will take some time to get more delivered. If you end up buying any food/beverage on the island, it is much more expensive and there is not a big selection of items. When ordering groceries, if you are particular about brands, make sure to list a “backup” item so if the one you requested is out of stock you can get a replacement that works for you. Over all- an amazing vacation. Definitely a house we would stay in again. 😊

The house was awesome, in a great location, walkable to the island club and right across from beach access. Could not have asked for a better place to stay for our first time on the Island. Perfect Location

This house was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 7 little ones under the age of 5. The bedrooms and living area were spacious, and Ally provided the needed cribs and high chairs. The pool was a big hit with everyone and the beach was right across the “street”. The kitchen was well stocked with spices. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Spring Break

We had a wonderful time. It was me and my husband, my in- laws, our 2 teenage kids and their girlfriends. The house was great and the location was amazing. My husband and I had the bedroom upstairs. The view was absolutely spectacular!!! Sean and Ally were there to so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!! The only thing we would suggest is lights by the pool area so people could play ping pong and swim at night. We checked all the lights but nothing came on. We did not inquire about it. We kept meaning to email and ask, but kept forgetting. It obviously didn’t keep us from having fun!! 😀😀

Better than the photos!

Beautiful, well-maintained home with spectacular sunsets! Loved all the decks - top with lots of sun, middle with shade and beautiful view, sunny pool deck out of the wind. Walked the beach several times a day and saw dolphins and tortoises. Nice to have the Captiva Island Club bikes and kayaks and the state park to walk and bike in.

Captiva Sunset Get-Away

This place is perfect for a large group wanting easy beach access to a beautiful get-away-from-it-all destination. The beach was just on the other side of the road facing west and the sunsets were spectacular. Getting there is kind of a logistical maze, but Sean & Ally (the property managers) made everything as easy as possible. We paid a pretty substantial upcharge to them to have groceries delivered and put away in the house before we arrived - but it was worth it not to have to worry about it. We ordered groceries/seafood a couple more times during the week, and it was a pretty easy process. There are 4 bedrooms with bathrooms on the 1st floor (2nd floor since house on stilts), the kitchen/living room/dining room are on the 2nd floor (3rd floor) and then there is a 5th bedroom on the top floor (4th floor). A screened-in deck off the living room help keep the no-see-ums at bay. However, the best views were on the top floor deck. It wasn't screened in, but a cardinal visited every morning and a slight breeze kept the bugs to a minimum. I would remove the crib the bedroom with twin beds unless the group has a baby. Sleeping in a room with a crib was off-putting. The kitchen was perfect for a large group and having the 2 refrigerators was a definite plus. Having the pool was great. We would hit the beach in the morning and the pool in the late afternoon before cocktails on the deck to watch the sunset. We were pretty self-contained and since it was a family trip during COVID, that worked out perfectly. It would be nice if there was a dvd player, but we hooked up a laptop and streamed movies through the TV. Wifi was okay. This isn't the place to go if you are looking for nightlife and partying. Some maintenance would make the place much nicer - a screen door was torn and off the slider, a lamp was broken on the deck, some of the beds should be replaced, golf carts are pretty old, new beach umbrellas, kitchen ware could be updated (knives sharpened, new utensils) and there was a leak in the living room. However, none of these were enough to take away our enjoyment of the house or the area. I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend.

Great location downfall is beds

Location is great. The kitchen is well stocked but needs cookie sheets n pizza pans. Beds are not comfortable. The mattresses, sheets and pillows need to be replaced. Some of the Towels are also very worn. House has a great view and my family loved the beach. Tortuga property managers were very good to work with.

Island paradise

Beautiful location just steps to the beach or swim in the pool on the property! We were well taken care of by Beulah. She meets you at the dock and escorts you to the house and gives you the tour of where to find what you need. The house was equipped with everything you we needed to make it an xtra special family getaway! We enjoyed the sunrise walks on the ocean and sunsets views on the balcony! Thanks and hope to visit again one day!

Beautiful home in great location. Views are wonderful. Furnishing and finishes not up to the quality of home, location, and views. We had to tighten dining room chair legs. South master bedroom needs a king bed, not queen. More end tables and nicer decor and finishes would improve the use and feel of the home. Windows and golf carts need to be washed, but all else was clean and neat.

Wonderful family get together on North Captiva.

This is our 4th trip to North Captiva and this home is absolutely the best one we've stayed in. It is beautiful and was perfect for our family get together which included 10 adults and 2 young children. We loved the spacious kitchen, dining and living areas. Sleeping was very comfortable, views of the Gulf sunsets breathtaking, and we enjoyed beaching, swimming, playing corn hole, and making puzzles together. The heated pool was great on the cooler days. Tom, our property manager was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. We are already planning a return trip next year. We recommend staying here.
