Our stay was great! Limited dining options but not a big deal since Carlsbad is close. Perfect location if visiting Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains. We explored all morning and spent afternoons at the pool. Breakfast is pretty basic but was fine. Rooms were clean and spacious!

The beds were super comfortable and the air conditioning was great. The layout of the room was nice but the shower did not have good water pressure. The outlets in the bathroom did not work so we had to connect the coffee maker to the microwave outlet. The "breakfast" consisted of dry cereal and overly sugared, tiny muffins and the coffee was terrible. The first woman at the office front desk was a bit gruff, but the second was very amiable.

The hotel was very close to the cave but because we went early in the year they didn’t have the pool open and the restaurant closed by 3 pm which meant we drove into the city of Carlsbad anyway. Eating area was small and breakfast had a small selection as well.

Cute hotel! Room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. There was a restaurant nextdoor that states its open online (perfect hours) but in real life the hours are very limited and it was closed when we arrived, so you need to drive 20 miles away for any food. The "free" breakfast was a bowl of sugary cereal or a pre-packaged muffin, it was not what I would call "breakfast". That was the only downside to this hotel as we were headed to the Carlsbad Caverns for the day and we were hungry for a substantial breakfast! Staff was so nice and the beds were comfortable for our 1 night stay!
