“We were in the area for a couple days for an event in Roadhouse. Carrollton was incredibly charming and we really loved the Farmhouse loft. We got food at the pizza place next door and I had the BEST meatball sub! We really appreciated being able to bring our dog along on our trip as he can be very anxious when we are away. Can't wait to come back!”

“Kid friendly - pet friendly - lovely view of stars (when no clouds). Comfortable home! Stairs are kind of steep if you have someone with mobility issues but they have their other 1 story property too. I walked past it during a hike and it also looks lovely. Kevin was so easy to communicate with. I will be back.”

“The home was so clean, lovely, cozy and had everything we could have needed and more. My kids, wife and I had plenty of space to unwind and spread out comfortablely. We wished we could have stayed longer than the one night but we will definitely stay again when we visit our family who live the area. Highly recommend. ”

“So relaxing and beautiful surroundings! Our hosts were amazing and the cookies at check in were so delicious!! The town of Elsah is literally you taking a step back in time! Over 50% of the town is the original buildings from the mid 18 hundreds! The Bald Eagles were very active when we were there! Our hosts gave us a private tour of the town’s museum it was amazing! You can’t go wrong staying there and visiting ”

“Great property! Perfect size for our group of ten! Bit of an odd layout but I just think that’s how older houses are. Right in the middle of Grafton. We walked everywhere. Loved the courtyard and fire pit. Would definitely stay again! ”

“we rented the entire house, so 2bath, 3 bedrooms. Positives: plenty of kitchen items between both units. Negatives: front bedroom really noisy with street cars and garbage pu, house very dirty, kitchen floor not mopped as I spilt water drops from cooler unloading and wiped with paper towel and came up dirty. No broom to sweep up crumbs, also why SO MANY dead flies when maid was just there? I picked up (with paper towel) 12 dead flies on floor and they kept appearing , Bathroom set up on front……

“We had an awesome time here. Place was clean and well equipped. The host was very pronpt and onformative. Everything worked as expected. The downside was that each night we came home to the house smelling of sewage. It was an intense odor as you hit the door and a musty smell to follow. Its likely this is something to do with the water table being high and all the rain (i lived in a rental with similar).The listing also advertised a BBQ grill, however we could not locate it.
