Friendly staff. The hotel was in a great location, walkable to great restaurants and other great locations like the clock tower. The hotel needs some work, the lighting in the staircase and hallways not the best. Noisy hallways. One night there was a leak in the lobby area by the elevator area. The electricity went out a couple days which was annoying 😡

Hotel's location is amazing with a lot of nearby shops, restaurants and landmarks. Also, easy transportation coordination and friendly service. I highly recommend the Mood Matuna Hotel. Every hotel employee was professional and provided great service.

Very good place to stay when you decide to go to Cartagena. Clean, good staff, the breakfast that is included is very good. Walkable, everything in the area is close. We didn't need to use an Uber or Taxi to get to the placed we wanted to see.

Arriving at the hotel we became a little worried because the area outside was not the best looking. But once inside the staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was very clean and up to date. My room was just right and I had a balcony that overlooked the street. There wasn’t much to look at but it was good for when I just wanted to step out and get some air or some sun. The gym was small but it got the job done. The restaurant was perfecto. The food was really really good everything I ordered was delicious. Now for the not so good things. The hotel has a no visitor policy so no friends of any sort can enter the hotel with you. It kind of felt like a dorm room😂 but the upside to that is that you are allowed to add your companion to your room before you come to check in so I had no issues whenever my friend came to visit. The staff is totally loyal to this policy and I amend them all because they were offered absurd amounts of money and they stayed true to their policy😂. All and all I really enjoyed my stay. If you are single and like to mingle when you vacation it’s not the place for you.

It was a nice property but it felt like I was living with my parents I understand them wanting to be safe and protect those who stay in the property but I feel you should be able to bring guess into the hotel which you paid to stay in. Other than that nice food and service I believe the young ladies name is Maria she was very nice and helpful.

Nos tocó ser atendidos y recibidos por María, fue demasiado amable, atenta, encantadora y siempre que regresábamos de algún tour al llegar al hotel siempre nos recibía con una sonrisa y un saludo muy cordial. Mood Matuna was an excellent choice for our stay in Cartagena. The staff was excellent. In particular, Marjorie and Maria made our stay very enjoyable. Their excellent hospitality, professionalism, attentiveness and sunny disposition made our trip. The rooms were very spacious and the housekeeping staff were great. When we decided to stay in the Walled City we knew that it was going to be bustling, noisy, and crowded, but that was something we wanted to experience. The Walled City is old and everything is not aesthetically pleasing, but that was not something we cared about. So, if you want to be in walking distance of Getsmani, La Gorda Gertrudis, the Clock Tower, Plaza de Santo Domingo and Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas to name a few this is a good choice. Thank you again to Marjorie and Maria from the Grant Family (Kevin, Sonya, Bennie & Anitra).

The party bus comes around so be prepared for that. They don’t have a microwave but it’s plenty of spots you can eat at. All in all the stay was amazing. Room is big, bed is big, we stayed in room 507 and any black Americans this hotel is the one to choose if visiting the city!
