“We truly enjoyed the property and the loft apartment. It was cute and spacious. We loved all the animals. The goat was my Husbands favorite. The peacock was my favorite. The Host was very helpful and accommodating. It was centralized to everywhere we wanted to go. We found several local restaurants that were great. We had a great time. ”

“The 2 wooded acres gave me the impression of seclusion, so I wasn't expecting the neighbors with the chickens to seem so close. I was uncomfortable with the back porch being in line of sight with their top and bottom floor windows but over at the hot tub, you can't see the windows or the house. Inside was exactly as the listing photos, everything was neat and tidy. The kitchen had everything for our stay, and I was thankful to find resealable bags and foil in a drawer while prepping dinner! “This is a nice little place to stay on the water at Lake James. We did have a few issues with the place. The bathroom fan worked sometimes, but mostly not. The sliding glass door to the kitchen is very hard to lock. This needs attention.”

“It as peaceful as can be. Even my dog who is very anxious at home, is completely relaxed there. Has everything you need. Additional amenities such as hot tub, fire pit, and indoor and outdoor games although we just go for the solitude. Fonta Flora trail is a short ride at one end of the road. Many other trails to visit and Brown Mountain overlook within half hr to hr scenic drive from cabin. We just love it and will keep going back when we are able. ”

“Beautiful house and view of the lake! House was clean, well stocked, and the owners are very responsive and friendly. The A/C did have trouble keeping up on a few hot days on the top floor, even with the drapes shut, to the point we asked if someone could look at the HVAC unit while we were there. The owners did send a technician out, and everything seemed to be working correctly. The owners did say they plan to make some additional modifications soon to address the sun light heating up……
