“Don’t say it’s a “shared” hot tub when there’s no other way into the backyard from this guesthouse. The hosts has a whole system of their Renjoy company set up as a 3rd party. They have their own 3rd party Renjoy website sent to you once it’s near the day of check in; info & rules of the house and stuff on there. It was a decent stay until I woke up with one bed bug climbing on me. I contacted the host, & they responded very quickly & sent over a bug spray at the door. But I already……

“This is a very clean, very well equipped, and beautifully decorated basement walkout apartment. We stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting, just minutes from amenities, and a short drive from Pike's Peak. Twice we were rewarded with Elk walking past our patio, just steps away from us! (Unfortunately we didn't have our phones ready to take pics). “I had the pleasure of spending the Christmas holidays at Black Bear Chateu in Colorado Springs. The home was beautiful and my host, Mary Louise, had decorated my home with Christmas lights and decorations which made me feel right at home. The property has everything you could ask for including bedroom, kitchen, televisions in the living room and bedroom and deer and turkeys that visited every morning. There are also many games and books plus a foosball table to keep the youngsters entertained. ……

It was wonderful to have so many different outdoor spaces to relax and when it started snowing, it was nice to sit in front of the floor to ceiling windows, drink coffee, and watch the snow come down. “Had an excellent stay. Unit was very clean and nicely decorated. We were looking for a place that was close to Colorado Springs but wanted something that had a more rural feel and this unit did the trick. Although unit is located behind the owners house in a sub division, all the houses sit on a couple of acres so it feels like you are in a more remote area, especially with the mountains right behind. “We needed a place with a great yard for our dogs and this fit the bill. The views of Pikes Peak and garden of the gods are amazing! The house was clean; however many of the dishes were dirty and toaster oven hadn’t been cleaned out. This is a hazard of having guests do their own dishes upon departure that we’ve noticed in other rentals as well. We’re accustomed to washing everything we use before using it so no big deal to us. We would stay again, the owner is very responsive to any request.”

“Great location to see the Colorado Springs are - 15 minutes fromGarden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, downtown Colorado Springs and minutes from Old Colorado City. Marianne is delightful and great to work with. Apartment is whimsical but has great space. Family of four fit well. View off decks was lovely. Hot tub was clean and had a great view. If you like modern and new this is not for you. If you like artsy and whimsical then his place is great.”
