“We were two couples who stayed in this lovely home in Castellaneta Marina for about a week in October. It was immaculately clean, has a full kitchen and living area, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and we were very happy to have screens in the bedroom windows so we could sleep with them open at night. “IL residence si trova nella pineta non vicino alla spiaggia se non si vuole attraversare pericolosamente i binari del treno. Ho trascorso due settimane. Niente WiFi (scusa: ho cambiato gestore! “The villa more than lived up to the photos and descriptions. Stunning hilltop location that offered privacy, 360–degree views, and easy access to Matera and a couple of small charming towns, as well as day trips to the higher-profile tourist towns like Polignano, Alberobello, etc…. The accommodations were pristine, spacious and well laid out. The groundskeeper (Marcello) is there every morning at 7:00 to clean the pool and any other maintenance needs. “Der Pool ist riesig und das Personal sehr freundlich. Deutsch spricht hier niemand, aber die meisten können so weit Englisch, dass man sich verstängigen kann. Die Apartments sind groß und wir hatten auch eine wunderschöne große Loggia, die wir sehr genossen haben. Allerdings sind die Apartments nicht besonders schön eingerichtet, und bei uns kam auch der Putz von der Schlafzimmerwand. Dafür fand ich das Doppelbett sehr bequem, allerdings waren die Schlafsofa selbst für die Kinder……

“We loved the place. It is spacious and surrounded by trees. It is very central. Pino kept us well-supplied with logs for all three fireplaces. There are some minor inconveniences: hot water tends to be intermittent upstrairs while internet reception is hopeless (except in sitting room) though that seems to be the case in the whole georgraphical area.
