Elcriso is a newly renovated detached 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom stone farmhouse with own pool and stunning views, set in a peaceful very rural location yet within walking distance of a restaurant.The property has been refurbished with love and care, using lots of traditional Tuscan furniture, and provides really spacious family accommodation situated over 3 floors. Ideal therefore for 2 families holidaying together. There is traditional flooring throughout, solid chestnut windows and doors, and the second floor boasts arch valuted beamed ceilings. Most rooms are double aspect.On the ground floor there is a large bright double aspect kitchen/diner full equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and dining table which extends to give sufficient seating for all . Also on the ground floor is a spacious living room withfireplace, some exposed stonework, comfy seating, SAT TV, DVD and WIFI internet.On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms - one double and one double with an extra single bed. There is also a good size pristine shower room (which also houses washing machine).On the second floor there are a further two large bedrooms, both with arch vaulted beamed ceilings - one double, and one a triple room. There is also a new spacious shower room on this floor too.

Outside:Direct from ground floor onto eating terrace with amazing views for eating al fresco and enjoying pre dinner drinks.Large garden - all fenced and gated.Private pool overlooking georgeous mountain vistas. Sunbathing area. Shower and footbath.BBQ with further relaxing area.Parking.
The owner is happy to come and cook delicious meals on request, which has proved very popular with guests.

A little about location:
This property is peacefully situated just beneath the peaks of the Appenine mountain range; 800M from the village of Chiozza with its basic shop, bar and restaurant; approximately 1 hr 15 minutes north of Lucca, and a 15 minute drive to the market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana with it famous Thursday morning market, shops, bars, restaurants and train station…..

The local village has a bar/basic food shop and a popular restaurant and it is possible to walk cross country for 3km to a further restaurant, located in Castiglione, a beautiful fully walled mediaeval village which is known for its intact protecting walls, fantastic views, and summer festas.

The property is located only a 15/20 minute drive to the famous mountain peak top village of San Pellegrino with its mummified saints and incredible views.

Whilst a walkers paradise and set in the depths of the countryside, there is not a feeling of isolation at this farmhouse and the house is only a 10 minute drive or so from what is often described as the best restaurant in the area, at Pieve Fosciana, which also boasts, shops, banks, bars, restaurants, and the most gorgeous delicatessen with take way home made traditional Italian food.

Beautiful views and surrounding areas

We loved our stay at the villa. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the pool. The hosts were helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive. The area has recently been a center of attention on BBC with Amanda Holden, Rob Rinder and Clive Myrie. However, if you don't like heights and hairpin bends up a mountainside, this might not be the villa for you.

Emplacement incroyable, tres belles prestations!

Precedente location via airbnb ecourtee et remboursee (descriptif en inadéquation avec ce qu'on a trouvé à notre arrivée), nous avons retrouvé dans l'urgence cette propriété incroyable qui a correspondu en tous points à nos attentes : de tres beaux volumes interieurs, une cuisine tres bien equipee, une tres belle piscine privative et une vue à couper le souffle sur la montagne. Et pour couronner le tout, une communication exemplaire avec notre hote . On sent les personnes qui ont envie de faire plaisir!!! Encore merci pour la douce attention du depart! Immersion en pleine nature

Une maison typique en pleine nature vous accueille aux petits soins! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les paysages a couper le souffle, la fraicheur des murs, le village très accueillant et la piscine nickel. La maison est très bien équipée et la propriétaire très sympatique. Je recommande le service traiteur "come a casa" qu'elle propose, un régal! Je recommande ce séjour à toute personne qui souhaite des vacances reposantes. Merci Angela, une semaine de vacances qui en vaut 2!

Wij hebben een prachtige vakantie gehad. Een mooie locatie, een mooi huis met zwembad die iedere avond wordt schoongemaakt door de eigenaren die ook erg vriendelijk zijn. Tussen het zwembad en het terras zit een hekje voor de veiligheid. Voor de kleintjes is er een waterbak met een douche waar ze zich prima mee kunnen vermaken. Het enige nadeel vonden wij dat het qua afstand minimaal een uur rijden was om stadjes te bezoeken. In km is het niet ver maar door de bergpaadjes doe je er veel langer over.

Amazing Location

Elcriso is wonderful and we didn’t want to leave. We were a group of friends who stayed for one month. The view from the terrace is incredible, the pool delightful and the house quite comfortable. Angelina provided meals on a number of occasions - her lasagne is the best! Angelina and the Villa rental company were very helpful throughout the month.

Ferie i smukke omgivelser

Ferieboligen levede fuldt ud op til beskrivelse og billeder. Oppe på bjerget, lå det hyggelige hus, med skøn swimmingpool og udendørsområde. Det var muligt at være ude hele tiden. Og der var fin plads til vores familie. Huset havde alt hvad vi skulle bruge. Ejeren ydede super service med bla. masser af håndklæder, muligheder for at vaske i vaskemaskinen og så blev poolen gjort rent hver dag. Meget imponerende. Det var et dejligt område, der summede af italienere, og vi mærkede den italienske stemning i Chiozza. Det eneste vi ikke havde helt regnet med, det var at bo så langt oppe på bjerget, betød at det tog noget tid at køre ned til indkøbsmulighederne. Tak for en dejlig ferie i Chiozza.

Ah! Da ist es ja….

Wer Abgeschiedenheit und Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das geräumige Haus ist sehr sauber und ordentlich und liegt auf einem terrassenförmig angelegten Gelände. Der Blick in die toskanische Berg- und Talwelt bleibt unvergesslich. Die kleine Bar, oberhalb des Hauses in Chiozza hält das Nötigste fürs Frühstück bereit und an mehreren Abenden bietet sie auch typische Antipasti der Toskana an, ein paar Fleischgerichte und natürlich unzählige Pizzen. Bei Angela, der Besitzerin des Hauses, kann man mehrmals die Woche ein sehr leckeres , hausgemachtes Menü bestellen. Und wer unbedingt selbst kochen möchte, erreicht nach ca. 6 km den nächsten Supermarkt. Wir- 6 Freunde- haben hier 2 Wochen Sonnenschein, blauen Himmel und einen gepflegten Pool sehr genossen. Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung und nach Lucca gehörten natürlich auch dazu.

Ruheoase mit Fernblick

Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Teeny-Mädels und einem Schäferhund zu Gast in Elricso. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Auch der Pool war sauber und gepflegt. Besonders auf der überdachten Terrasse mit der tollen Aussicht waren wir sehr gerne gesessen. Angela war eine sehr nette und immer hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, vielen Dank nochmal für die Tomaten und das kleine Abschiedsgeschenk!! Wer die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Da das Anwesen in den Bergen liegt, war es auch nie zu heiß, was unserem Hund natürlich gut getan hat. Ins nahegelegene Dorf mit seiner Pizzeria "La Grotta" sind wir, Dank unserer (pupertären) Kinder ;-) mit dem Auto gefahren. Dort gibt es eine fantastische Antipasti-Platte, die locker als Hauptspeise reicht ;-) Pizza und Salate sind auch sehr lecker! Zum Wandern waren wir in San Pellegrino in Alpe. Das kann man jedem nur empfehlen. Auch eine lange Serpentinen-Fahrt nach Viareggio ans Meer haben wir auf uns genommen. Dahin haben wir ca. 1,5 Stunden gebraucht. In ca. 20 Minuten ist man aber auch schon in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, wo es mehrere Geschäfte und Restaurants gibt. Alles in allem kann man die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Besonders für Ruhesuchende, die kein Problem mit Serpentinen haben. ;-)

Heerlijk huis

We hebben genoten van het huis, het zwembad en de veranda. Het is een comfortabel huis met een goed uitgeruste keuken, prima badkamers en ruime slaapkamers. Het huis ligt afgelegen en bovenop een berg. Voor rustzoekers is het een heerlijke plek.

Piacevole soggiorno in tranquillità

Ho soggiornato in questa proprietà insieme ad altri 9 amici durante la prima settimana di agosto. La casa è situata in una posizione ideale per rilassarsi e stare in mezzo alla natura. Il giardino abbastanza ampio comprende una zona con il barbecue, un tavolo con tettoia annessa per consumare pasti fuori e una piscina tenuta in modo impeccabile. Le camere da letto sono spaziose ma non ci sono stanze molto grandi, a parte la cucina (non molto equipaggiata per 10 persone), dato che la casa si sviluppa in altezza ma ciò non è un problema dato lo spazio del giardino. Proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile, torneremo sicuramente!

Pizza in Fußnähe mit vielen Höhenmetern

Das Haus von Angelina in Prunecchio/Chiozza ist ideal für 2 Familien, die gemeinsam Urlaub machen und ausspannen wollen. Zustand der Schlafzimmer und Bäder top, wir haben in den Matratzen sehr gut geschlafen (in anderen Häusern war das bei weitem nicht so). Der Küche könnten ein paar gute Messer nicht schaden, aber prinzipiell sehr in Ordnung. Besonders nett: Die überdachte Laube, wo wir alle Mahlzeiten eingenommen haben, mit super Blick auf die Berge und ins Tal. Der Pool war für die Kinder sehr ok, uns Erwachsenen war er meistens zu kalt, zu wenig tief (1,20m) und mit fünf Brusttempi-Länge auch ein wenig klein. Aber der gesamte Außenbereich (sogar ein Weber-Kugelgrill!) ist sehr gepflegt, es gibt genügend Liegen, jeden Abend schaute die Vermieterin zur Reinigung des Pools vorbei.... Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top, wer die Abgeschiedenheit mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben. In 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in Chiozza, wo es in "La Grotta" wirklich Weltklasse Pizza gibt! Das ist auch gleichzeitig die Bar des Orts/ein Alimentari. Was man wissen muss: Man ist wirklich seeeehr in den Bergen. Dh es kann auch am Abend/in der Früh eher frisch sein und entweder es geht steil bergauf (18 Prozent sind keine Seltenheit) oder bergab. Wer mal einen Kilometer eben laufen will, muss dafür erstmal ins Tal runter. Man schafft es aber sogar mit Eis-motivierten Kindern nach Castiglione di Garfagnana - 4km runter und dann wieder rauf.... Also wer gerne Bergläufe trainiert und die Ruhe liebt (wie wir): go for it.

Wohlfühloase

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem sehr gepflegten Haus. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool ist toll. Ein idealer Ort zum abschalten und entspannen. Wir waren 14 Tage mit insgesamt 8 Personen in dem Haus und hatten genügend Platz. Die Lage ist ruhig und abgelegen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind per Auto erreichbar. Die Fahrt in die nächste Stadt und ins Umland geht durch 6 Km Serpentinen. Eine gute Pizzeria ist in der Nähe und in der Gegend gibt es unglaublich viel zu erleben und entdecken. Von der Bergwanderung und tollen Naturerlebnissen bis hin zu kulturellen und geschichtlichen Highlights wird alles geboten. Das Haus ist geräumig und entspricht den Bildern im Inserat. Wir können dieses Haus jedem empfehlen der sich erholen möchte.

Vriendelijke gastvrouw, proper huis met uitzicht

We verbleven met 2 gezinnen, elk 3 kinderen onder 12 jaar. Kinderen hebben zich geamuseerd in het zwembad. De kookservice ( tagliatelli, lasagne en ravioli) van de gastvrouw is een plus. Leuke bezoeken gedaan: Pisa, Castelnuovo, Lucca, Barga, San Pelligriono, Pieve Fosciana

Perfect for two families

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed Angelas generous help. The house is ideal for two families and could easily accomodate nine people. The location is very beautiful with nice scenic views and tugged away from other tourists. 15 minutes drive up and down the moutain and you are in Castelnuovo with its grocery shops etc. We arrived very late in the evening and in the dark you have to drive carefully otherwise you might miss the right way downhill. Thanks to Angela for your hospitality and your really great meals. We enjoyed everything a lot!

Perfect holiday In Tuscany!

The house is very good for two families and ten people. Peaceful area with unbelievable views. The house and the garden were clean and the owner came and cleaned up the pool every evening. We really enjoyed Angela's (owner's) lasagne, it was the best ever!

Een mooie complete woning met een geweldig uitzicht

Een mooi goed onderhouden huis met prima bedden en sanitair. De keuken bood alle gemakken die nodig zijn met een ruime koel- en vrieskast. Het zwembad werd iedere dag gereinigd. Het uitzicht is aan alle kanten adembenemend. Tijdens een flinke regenbui kwamen er toch een paar druppels door het dak en de bochtige weg naar het huis toe kan als spannend ervaren worden.
