“We had a lovely holiday here and will definitely book again - shame they are full for the rest of this year or we would be back later this summer!
Excellent hosts- especially Zefie and Lea - who make you feel very welcome.
Rooms are basic but comfortable - which is reflected in the star rating/room rate, they are spotlessly cleaned everyday and have everything you need including air conditioning (included in the price).
Pool was great - especially with an ice cold Mythos from the pool bar!

“I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I needn’t have worried as I had an amazing week. The resort/village and apartments were both fantastic and the staff at Barefoot Contessa/Hemingways were always really friendly and helpful: Dimitra, Olga and Spiros and co.

“A beautiful place. It was clean and quiet with an excellent pool. Rooms were well equipped and very well maintained. Staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful.
It is a 40 walk from Skala but there is an excellent and cheap hotel shuttle and the walk itself was lovely.”

“As soon as I arrived they knew my name. They take great pride in their apartments and it shows. The room was spotless and the pictures don't do them justice when it comes to the overall look and feel. The breakfast was also very good value for money and the restaurant by the pool was a lovely quiet spot in the morning to enjoy it.
I would recommend this place to anyone and would happily stay again in a heartbeat. A real gem. ”

“Great experience, stayed in the Perla suite. Kind & helpful staff. Room cleaned daily-staff was willing to come back when we hadn’t left yet. Good location to explore the island. A Wonderful Stay at Oikos Boutique – Perfect for Families
We had a truly amazing stay at Oikos Boutique. We rented Villa B (Villa Deluxe) as two families – ten people in total, including four adults and six children. Among the children were three tall teenagers (15 and 17 years old) and three young girls aged between 7 and 11.
