“I celebrated 40 years since my Penn State graduation with my senior college roommate at this cabin just a couple miles from Poe Valley State Park. It was a nice peaceful setting near a small stream. The cabin had everything we wanted. Liked the screened-in porch and the recliners (we're getting old). You do need to drive a few miles of dirt roads to get to this area, but the cabin is along a paved road near a small village of cabins just outside the state parks of Poe Valley and Poe Paddy. ……

“I stay here every year around this time for a night or two. The place is nothing fancy, but is perfectly fine for my needs. Walls are a bit thin and the hallway was a bit noisy this time around. Staff is friendly. I'll be back next year. ”

“Very quick check in and out. Pool was warm, hittib was not in service. Sufficient selection at breakfast, there was oatmilk available. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet even though it was next to the elevator. Hotel was not busy, Thursday, on Memorial day weekend. The only negative was the heater in the bedroom was very noisy, and we are light sleepers. It was cold for May a extra blanket would have been nice. Great location. ”

“We reserved this house for a family trip to PSU for our daughter's graduation. It did not disappoint! The house is spacious and beautiful. Although it is almost a 40 minute drive to PSU, the ride is mostly highway and very easy. The house had a ton of plates, glasses, and spices/condiments which made making meals stress free. We would definitely rent this house again if in the area with family.”

“Very nice little place. Clean. The only trouble we ran into was that the "futons" are more like small "cots". My son and I visited the area to fish local streams. he is 25. I had the double bed. he was not comfortable in the small cot.Other wise, it was good. He didn't sleep well and it at least let me keep up with him for the weekend on the streams.”

“Facility is older, but renovated where it matters. Hallways and doorways are beat up, but room interiors for the most part contain new furniture and fixtures, and everything was clean and comfortable. The only downside here is the breakfast, which is poor even by "continental breakfast" standards. Everything on offer was high-sugar and high carbohydrate. Not a gram of protein in sight, and not even any fruit. The cereals are all high sugar; even the hotel-standard raisin bran is the "extra……

“We needed a quiet, serene place to collect ourselves after our mother's celebration of life, and this property proved to be perfect. We enjoyed the comforts of the home as well as the remote, natural setting. All of the details had been attended to, and we didn't have any concerns or questions during our stay.”
