“Our 2 day stay was amazing.We stayed in the restored Charles V11 suite. The staff very friendly and extremely helpful especially Emmuelle and Liliann. Would recommend it as a beautiful hide away. ”

Il y a une grande cuisine et un grand service (assiettes, verres, couverts…) ce qui est pratique pour organiser un dîner. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et à l’écoute. Seul bémol, le chauffage en hiver. Nous recommandons à tous les amateurs de belles propriétés et d’histoire (ancienne demeure de Lavoisier ☺️) !”

Un charme d’un temps « d’époque » dans un état de parfait entretien où se mêlent des meubles anciens, dorures et tableaux sur fond de légère musique classique. Le tout dans un parc boisé, avec étang et canards, piscine et pelouses rases. Voilà un très bel hôtel pour qui serait en quête de calme et repos. ”

“There were eight adult family members on vacation. The property is absolutely amazing. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the only sounds you hear are the sheep in the dry moat and the birds that inhabit the property. Though there is no air conditioning in the home, the temperatures were very manageable with the windows open. Chartres is a charming town, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris.……

This is not a hotel-like palace but rather a grande-dame of a chateau with all the attendant wrinkles and wear that actually feels like it's been lived in by real families for centuries. We loved the authenticity of the chateau and especially enjoyed prowling the rooms and grounds, the caves, the woods, and the secret garden, and what a treat it was to realize the chateau has an actual moat. “The stay was perfect in every way. The Park Room that we stayed in was full of antiques, with stunning decor and four shuttered windows that overlooked the the estate, pond and horses, donkeys and cow. The breakfast was very special with the host's homemade marmelade, bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit and eggs from the chateau gardens, local cheeses, pastries. Amazing. Ivana was a wonderful host and was so knowledgeable about the area and local history; she goes above and beyond to make the guests……
