“What a wonderful place, very beautiful and relaxing. Accommodation absolutely top notch, staff even better. Having stayed in several highly rated 5 star hotels during our month long tour of India we felt this to be the best. If you're looking for the backwater experience in true comfort and style then this gives you that. We hired a day boat which picked us up from the bottom of the garden. We spent the evenings watching the boats go by and the chinese fishing nets being used. Realy all one……

“We had a really poor experience… 1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty 2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing. 3) extremely un-friendly staff who were showing absolutely no interest in the welfare of the guests. 4) It was extremely hot during day time, so we asked them to switch on the AC and they said AC will be available only from 9pm. 5) We bought some expensive prawns from the shop they took as to ,……

“The food on the trip was amazing. We were able to stop and the purchase king prawns and fish and the staff fried it for us. The boat was clean and had been recently refurbished. The owner was responsive to our emails. The trip was overall an enjoyable experience for our family. It's great to see the life along the communities as you slowly move along the back waters.”

“These houseboats are not the ones featured in the pictures. It was a different company from the advertised Northstar, it is rather Coco houseboats. The first boat offered to us was awful with no comfortable seating area and the bedrooms were dismal with dirty linen. We complained and were given a second larger boat with marginally better seating, however on inspection of the bedrooms we were appalled by the state of the bedroom.
