A True Treasure in the Heart of Chania Staying at Palazzo di Pietro was nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly situated in the prime location of Old Town Chania, the hotel places you right in the center of the city’s vibrant history, culture, and charm. From the cobblestone streets to the nearby harbor, everything you could want to explore is just steps away. The building itself carries a rich and fascinating history, which you can feel as soon as you walk through the doors. At the same time, the property has been thoughtfully updated, blending historical elegance with modern-day comforts while beautifully preserving its character while offering every convenience you’d expect. What truly makes Palazzo di Pietro unforgettable, however, is the staff. Exceptionally hospitable, helpful, and warm, they made us feel immediately welcome and consistently cared for throughout our stay. As travelers in a foreign country, that sense of being genuinely looked after. We felt safe, supported, and even pampered. It was the little details that meant the world to us. If you’re looking for a place with heart, history, and five-star service in the most ideal part of Chania, Palazzo di Pietro is it. We can’t wait to return.

Palazzetto stupendo in pieno centro nella città vecchia a due passi dal mare. La signore che gestisce la strutture è una persona cortese e piena di piccole attenzioni per gli ospiti. Palazzo di Pietro was hands-down our favourite accommodation of our trip. It is such charming place with wonderful staff. The decor is rustic and lovely, and totally fits into the aesthetic of the Chania Old Town area. I adored the four-poster bed and all of the unique touches in the room. The rooftop terrace/garden was an added bonus and was a great place to relax after a busy day. Eleutheria, the owner, clearly cares deeply about her clients. She was very friendly and happy to chat about recommendations for what to do, see, and eat. Roxani was also lovely and very helpful. There aren't too many rooms in total, so the staff always had time for us. Best of all was Voula, the little cat who lives at the hotel! She doesn't go into the rooms or bother the guests but if you are interested in spending some time with her she is the loveliest little rooftop companion. A brief word of caution if you're renting a car: there are plenty of parking options within walking distance, except on Saturday evenings, which is when we arrived. The old part of town is so busy at this time that you should be prepared to park far from the hotel, and to navigate very narrow streets full of pedestrians. If I planned our trip again, I would either arrive earlier in the day to find parking or save renting a car until Sunday if possible. Not a fault of the hotel's at all, but good to know before you go!

My husband and I stayed at the Palazzo di Pietro for 4 nights. It was a charming and beautiful place. The owner checked us in and took the time to explain the area and provided a map and recommendations. We were welcomed with fresh fruits and a bottle of wine. Our room was located in heart of Chania old town, literally steps from the beautiful harbor. I highly recommend Palazzo di Pietro, you will not be disappointed.

The property is well situation in the centre of Chania Town Square. The space (room 6) is self contained. Front desk staff are amazing, welcoming, informative. In our room, on arrival, we had fresh fruit, water, juice, wine, toiletries. Very clean and comfortable for two. I will say however that because there is a restaurant below it was quite noisy in the evening until about 11:30pm. So if you are early to bed, like we were, that was a small issue. But not a deal breaker for the comfort, location, amenities and great welcoming staff. Very good value and would stay there again.

Amazing host and staff. They were all very helpfull and nice. Location is in the middle of old town, about 2 blocks ftom the ocean. Room was clean, large and had many extra perks. Would stay here again, when we go back there.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. This was such an ideal place to stay in the old town of Chania. Everyone was so so kind, welcoming, and helpful. There was a mini kitchen in our room which was so convenient, and we were greeted with a thoughtful gift of wine, water, fruit, coffee, tea, and candies. The room was spotless. We loved our time here. Thank you Palazzo di Pietro team! It’s truly a special place.

This is a one-of-a-kind experience! The room we were in (The Red Room) was amazing! Incredible decor and fully stocked with everything needed, plus fresh fruit and water in the mini fridge, and some wine and local drink to enjoy! I would have loved to stay longer than the two days we booked! Hospitality was abundant and every effort made to make us comfortable and welcome. This stay was one of the highlights of our anniversary trip! We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Crete and will stay longer! This lovely hotel has authentic decor to the time period it was built. It was absolutely perfect!

This property was great! Family-owned for centuries with unique rooms for every guest. The place is right in the heart of Hania. For that reason, a taxi won’t take you to the door (so keep that in mind), and the beautiful rooms are older so you could hear your neighbors. Host have great recommendations, and you cannot go wrong in the Old Town nearby! Definitely would recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely property. Especially Eleutheria and her team made our stay very special with providing great insights and tips.
