This three-bedroom duplex unit with a retro style has a fenced-in backyard with elevated deck to sit under the mature trees and enjoy some quiet time.

Chapel Hill Duplex

Overall we ended up having a comfortable stay at this duplex. The verbal description on VRBO is quite accurate as it is surrounded by woods, and it is a very quiet neighborhood. And the inside was clean, however it had some areas that made it seem unkempt. The blinds in the front windows were broken and unable to be raised/lowered. The furniture on the deck outside was very dirty, and there was mildew on the inner shower curtain. These seem like easy fixes, and if addressed would make the property live up to the photos in the VRBO description. As a previous renter stated, there was very little light for the front door at night, and we had to use our phones or car headlights to see where we were walking. Another element that seems fixable. Other than those issues, the place was very nicely decorated, and the beds were very comfortable. It was also very close to attractions in the Chapel Hill area.

Weekend stay

This is a very cute decorated duplex. Easy check in and out. Loved the opportunity to book a later check out, we didn’t need it but they provide the option. As far as location, it was exactly what we needed. This rental is older and had a very prominent damp musty smell. That was something that bothered us because our clothes smelled like it and our allergies were worse while there, maybe a dehumidifier would help. Also, at night it was very dark outside, no lights except a faint porch light. There was a beware of this man sign posted in the neighborhood so being pitch black outside when we took the pups out was worrisome. The fenced in back yard was full of leaves and grown up so we could let our pups out there. The windows upstairs and patio doors did not have any blinds or curtains to help feel private. Other than those things this rental was good. I would stay there again if these things were remedied.
