The staff was very friendly, but we reached out asking to cancel our second night as the pool (which was our primary reason for picking this particular hotel) was unusable even though it was advertised as available. AFTER we would have already needed to check out so as to stay only our first planned night they let us know they were “only waiting on one part for the pool” (clearly we’re waiting on more than one part since we were awakened to the glorious sounds of jackhammers in said pool..) and gave us the option to drop our plans for the rest of the day, race back and gather our belongings and get out to save us from the second night stay $……but, since they waited so long to reply to our polite request and we were an hour away by the time we got it we were stuck…..daydreaming of a real pool and a hotel with customer service that doesn’t lie as we woke up to jackhammers… However, they were all very polite while screwing us over.

I would not recommend staying here. The only reason I rate this a 2/10 and not a 1/10 is because the front desk associates were welcoming. First of all - the side door was propped open at 9pm when we arrived. The first room we walked into - the TV did not work. They gave us a different room - this room had all kind of issues. The toilet kept running all night. The room smelled like mold/mildew and could tell it was full of moisture. AC was not consistent. Hot water did not work at the sink in the bathroom. The phone did not work due to the jack on the wall being broken. The mattress had dips throughout. The pillows were awful and felt like its been used for 10+ years. The shampoo and body wash was the same - but in different containers. Overall - this was one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed at. I am surprised this was a "Marriott" hotel.

Arrived to six mattress stacked touching the ground. The host was not kind or welcoming. She was more of dry and let me get back to what I was doing. The area was even less desirable. I should've stayed closer to Tanger. This place is fallung apart and the don't care. Definitely not my cup of tea Marriott

Marriott Team You need to audit the responsibility to use the Marriott name...this is not a quality Marriott Quality Standard. The front desk does the job to save the stay, but the rooms have a lot of potential over the conditions of the Furniture and carpets. I traveled a lot and use Marriott, and this is not what me and my family expected comparing the Brand in other countries and in other cities in US.

No room cleaning. Guests have to go get fresh towels. Limited staff. No working ice machine on any floor. Pool was covered with algae. Not anything as depicted in pictures

We weren't told the property was under major renovations. It needs the upgrade for sure as its very old and outdated. The pool was under construction and not available. Our room was dirty, peeling wallpaper, hole in sofa, old and dirty bathroom. Dust on all surfaces. Broken mini fridge, ciffee maker with no mugs or coffee. The staff however was great. Kind and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. Would not recommend checking them out until they finish upgrading.

The hotel is going through renovations. The bottom floor was a mess which is understandable. The pool was super green and there is pool equipment and chairs and random things from the hotel piled up around the pool. So, we didnt get to use the pool as we had hoped. It was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. Our room was decent but the outdoor balcony was a mess, there were nails and screws and painting tape and trash everywhere. I understand about the renovations but our room should have been much better. There were chairs and bottles and even a grill in the parking lot as if someone had been hanging out beside the hotel. The exterior was a complete mess and didnt feel safe. We had to enter through the side door which was just propped open, leaving it open for anyone to enter the building. I wish I had picked another hotel. I never write negative reviews but this one deserved it.

This hotel is under major construction. When we arrived, there were shipping containers taking up the entire parking lot. There were workers sitting in the lot in chairs with charcoal grills scattered around. The main entrance is closed and you can only enter on one side of building. The pool is closed.

This hotel is a safety and health hazard. Doing a complete renovation spray painting the entire building. Parking lot is full of containers, building materials, pallets, piles of old furniture and carpet. No where to park. Front entrance closed tearing off the roof throwing things off the roof, no light to the side entrance walkway, no light or sign on side entrance. Door propped open with a brick, fire alarms covered in plastic and taped off, emergency exit with flood lights removed, I reported our patio door lock was broken 3 times never fixed, all windows and doors taped up with plastic. Could not see outside. No manager or assistant manger on duty Saturday or Sunday housekeeping checking people in and out. Ran out of breakfast before 8 am and breakfast starts at 7am!!!!! No complementary water or coffee available for guest in lobby. We parked in the Red Cross parking lot. We asked permission from the Red Cross to park there after 4pm on Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday was available to us. Rooms were not cleaned because they had no one to clean. WHY IS THIS HORRIBLE HOTEL OPEN this should be closed during a complete renovation like this instead of putting guest safety and health at risk. Rude employees because they were tired of hearing complaints. No one knows what is going on and why a manager or assistant manager is not on duty. This hotel should have told us this was going on when we called on Wednesday to verify reservations for check in on Friday.
