“The cottage is exactly like the pictures and very comfortable. We enjoyed our time there and appreciated the details such as games, coffee/tea and outdoor picnic table.”

“The water views, sunrises, and many local birds, including a nearby osprey nest, were all spectacular. The whole back of the house is a bank of windows (living room and master bedroom). It feels private as your view is just your outdoor lounge area, dock, and the water. No big downsides (minorly need space for tooth brushes as the sinks are mostly the sink bowls). Everything was clean,and comfortable. In similar off the beaten path vrbo's we've had lower cleanliness or ants, but not here! ……

“This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. Despite a mixed bag of weather ranging from snow, rain, winds, and sunshine, the visit did not disappoint. We were still able to walk on the beach, view the resident bald eagle, immerse ourselves in the ever changing water views and visit surrounding towns.The house was warm and welcoming.”

“Great property and good location! Nice with basic paper supplies, cleaning supplies and seasonings. We used the grill and hot tub, and watched a sunset in those big chairs!”

“We attended a wedding across the canal from this house at the Chesapeake Inn. It was very cool to see these really large ships go by as we sat on the deck. Very nice accommodations here! Jane was a great host!”

“The dome and surrounding areas looks like it does in the photos, and using the compost toilet, shower, etc were pretty easy even for a camping novice like myself. The farm is beautiful and quiet. Good opportunities for birding too. I never saw or heard the gentlemen who live in the farmhouse, I only saw their cars come and go. I came here for rest and a connection to nature, and that’s what I got. I’d love to come back in the future! I think it would be even nicer later in the spring.”

Don’t miss out on this if you want a relaxing trip, or if you do want to explore the area there’s plenty of great small towns in the area, also an easy drive to some of the most iconic cities along the Chesapeake Bay.”
