The facility had obvious charm in the past, but is very dated, with cracked tile floors, aged carpeting, and a location next door to a Gentlemen's Club and what appears to be gambling establishment, with noise and traffic commensurate with the location. The staff are friendly, polite, and generally cheerful, but demonstrate little attention to detail, mistaking me for another guest by the same last name, and providing a room under his name, and booking me into a room inconsistent with my reservation and my wife's disability needs, not once, not twice, not three times, but 4 times before I finally gave up and settled for a room with one key element (a walk-in or roll-in shower), even though the room lacked a chair for the desk, had two double beds rather than the reserved king bed, and had a cracked TV screen. For all of the troubles, the evening manager told me she would "comp" the room, but the Gm, at checkout, stated she would make an adjustment to the bill, but would or could not "comp" the room. The "Bistro" was inadequately staffed, but the one person working in the evening was pleasant, cheerful, and as attentive as she could be. The menu is quite limited, and none of the breakfast items I selected from the limited menu were available. My wife and I spend 20-30 nights per year in hotels, and needless to say, I won't be back to this location, and would be hesitant to consider Red Lion (this was our first encounter with the brand) in the future.
