I was really looking forward to a great couples’ weekend at the Holiday Inn, but my experience was frustrating and disappointing from the moment I arrived. The customer service, particularly from the manager, Cesar, was completely unacceptable.
I had booked and paid for a room with a king bed through Expedia, which clearly stated the room was available. However, upon arrival, Cesar rudely informed me that the king rooms were sold out and insisted that I should have called the hotel to confirm availability. In my defense, if the room wasn’t actually available, it shouldn’t have been listed as an option or allowed me to pay for it in the first place. Instead of offering a helpful solution, his attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making an already frustrating situation worse.
To make matters worse, the room I was given had a leaking ceiling. This wasn’t just a minor issue—water was literally dripping onto the table, soaking everything. I had ordered a nice dinner for my fiancé and me from Friday’s, only to find it completely ruined. All my personal items on the table were soaked, including my designer bag, which was dripping wet. I took videos and pictures as proof and even brought my bag to the front desk to show the damage.
