I booked this hotel because of the price and that it had a fair amount of 10/10 Expedia reviews. I’m not sure how or why they gave it 10/10. The room wasn’t bad, but the hallway carpets were absolutely disgusting. Area didn’t seem too safe with a fair amount of homeless people around. We only stayed on night on our way south. Breakfast was ok and the coffee was good. We ate at a local beer garden that was good. Would not stay there again.

The property was really outdated and very old. The lobby and hallways were very hot and humid. Inside my room was the same, but i discovered that the heat was left on! The "breakfast " had no protein, just pancakes and waffles. The clerk at rhe front desk refused to accept my credit card because it was issed by Pay Pal. I tried to explain that it wasn't a paypal debit card, but an actual Paypal mastercard, but she still refused to take it and kept on repeating:" We don't accept Pay Pal.."

The staff was very friendly and sweet but this la Quinta needs a makeover asap. Elevators are broken and can only take you to certain floors, carpets are stained, property states it’s a strict no smoking hotel but the entire place smells like cigarettes, parking lot was trashed and littered with random clothes, etc. We did not feel safe or clean for our one night stay and will not be returning.

During my recent stay at your hotel, I couldn't help but see potential. The property itself has a lot to offer, but it would greatly benefit from a comprehensive revamp in order to attract more guests and improve overall guest experience. Sadly this property has truly been neglected. The carpets in the entire location are so disgusting. The TV did not work and front desk could not help. The pool is closed for the season and it is as 90 degrees. IF LaQuninta wants this location to stay open, Corporate company MUST help this location! Will never go back, will not recommend to anyone. The only good thing was it was in a good location to get downtown to Charlotte. I have never left a review for any hotel I have ever stayed in. However, I felt the need to check the bed each night for bed bugs and kept my luggage on the table off the floor. There were signs of staff cleaning the rooms, but without a complete cleaning of the lobby, and halls and a complete redo of the elevator, there is no hope for this hotel!

Run from this place ! It was by far the worst place I've ever walked into . We walked in and walked out immediately . It should be condemned . The manager I spoke too did not care at all about any of my complaints all she said was that you would not get a refund . The place was extremely run down , the door didn't lock , the bed was broke , the room smelled very bad , there was red wig hair stuck on fridge and behind bed , the rugs were extremely soiled , we felt like our entire bodies were itching . We ran out of there so fast and couldn't believe that such a mast place exists . What's worse is mgm doesn't even care . She spoke to me so rude and ugly on the phone and said you will not get a refund from us and didn't even want to hear my complaints . Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here !!!
I wish I would have taken more pics but someone was following my 26 year old daughter very close and I was nervous so we just hurried out .
