I am demanding a refund. We show up to the hotel and apparently there had been a power outage. So they could not issue us a room key. A couple of service reps had quit and left one girl working the hotel. She was trying to do everything between cleaning rooms, checking folks in, and escorting people to their rooms with a master key to let them in. we finally did get to our room after a long, wait and left to go eat dinner. When we returned, we could not even get into the lobby because nobody was working the service counter to let us in and we had no key to let ourselves in. Finally, another hotel customer showed up and let us into the lobby. Once in the lobby, there was no service rep to issue us our room key, and our belongings were stuck in our room for a long time. Finally, the service rep shows up because she had been cleaning rooms. We are finally back in our room, but still without a key. This is just a portion of the terrible experience. I won’t even mention how we were issued the wrong room at first and walked in on another family.
Camya was the service rep and she was wonderful. But management at the hotel would not answer the phone and other branches in the Charlotte area hung up on us when we called to see what was going on. We are not typically ones to complain, but this may be the worst hotel experience of our lives. I would expect a reply and reimbursement for our current trip and some significant compensation.
