“This was the best VRBO we have rented, they had everything we needed and more. This location was perfect for us and the space in this house was fantastic, there was a spot for everyone including my husband who needed an office to work and the second floor coffee room was that place. “The property was more private than we were anticipating. Very quiet neighborhood on a dead end gravel road. The house has it's own dock and boat launch, which was not expected. We brought our fishing boat, so it was perfect! There were a lot of backup supplies that came in handy, also. The house is a bit dated, but we did not mind; it did not affect our experience at all. A couple critiques: consider putting curtains on the windows (especially the bedrooms.) There is central AC, but the bedrooms……

“Great house for a nice getaway. Plenty to do onsite to keep you occupied. Fantastic outdoor patio area with woods behind the house. 2-person jacuzzi tub was fantastic too. Beds were comfortable, and house was nicely decorated and stocked with essentials. Plenty of seasoned firewood for inddor and outdoor use.Had a very minor hiccup with check-in, which was not the owners fault. Even so, he went over and above to make things right, and has been very accommodating and responsive throughout our……

“The owners of this property have obviously gone above and beyond most other rentals I have stayed at over the years. The house was spotless and had everything you could possibly imagine needing and more! Spent hours sitting, relaxing and watching the river. Stairs going down to the river appear new and are well lit. Unfortunately it rained several time during my stay but could still enjoy the outdoors via the covered front porch. Incredibly comfortable furniture, bed and the whole house felt……

“The home is wonderful, clean and well supplied. Belinda was quick with her communication. We had planned to travel by boat which is more specialized but because of recent storms we moved to plan B. More information would be helpful about what is available and how to get around on the island itself. Island businesses info is not accurate online which was not in Belinda's control. She tried to assist. Dave at the Island Harbor Marina is a good contact. The island is quiet and relaxing. ”

“The Mississippi Hideway was just as charming as its little town of Princeton Iowa. The host did not miss a detail with the added little amenities - from condiment packets to personal hygiene items.
